Joker Monfils is tomorrow night?

I saw he was wearing elbow sleeve yesterday

Yeah, that half of the draw is tomorrow night. Tsonga/Shapo is tonight.

I think Djoker's elbow thing is just kind of preventative, but we'll see if the arm holds up in a tough match. He has an interesting team with Agassi and Radek Stepanek coaching him. The Worm was a tricky attacking player in his own right, but almost did even better off the court bagging some hot women despite looking like an ape. They must have liked his $$$$ or he has a monster.

Supposedly Radek has a big worm.

Tsonga/Shapo starts in about an hour... scheduled for 8:30 ET. Shapo at +140 is mighty tempting, and that’s coming from someone who thinks he’s a little overrated at this stage of his career.

Thiem hit the shot of the tournament yesterday
LINK

But I think Busta topped that today, on set point

Some of these young guys (Thiem, Dimitrov, Kyrgios) are freakishly talented.

quote:

To put it bluntly, he [Stepanek] has a big dick. No joke. A buddy of mine briefly played on the ATP men's tour, and told me about how Stepanek was known to sometimes sit naked in the men's locker room before a match to intimidate his opponent. It became a not so secret that got around to the women's side that Stepanek was seriously "packing". His subsequent success with the ladies on tour speaks for itself.

Jo Willie is in serious trouble. How is Shapovalov not seeded?

He didn’t “arrive” until mid 2017. He spent the early part of the year losing in the first round of Challengers.

Jo Willie is finally cracking his serve

But I’m thinking this 4th goes to a breaker Jo is in real bad trouble. If they go 5 Tsonga will have an edge

Shapo is the kind of tennis I love
Serve Volley is GOAT

I better stop or I’ll break my promise I made earlier

Jo has to hold to stay in match
6-5 4th
Shapo to serve to send to breaker
Going to the breaker
JWT mini break up 3-1
JWT holds now up 5-1

Tsonga 62% first serves. Kinda surprising he is still in this match. Looks like he’s controlling points now though. He should win the 5th if he can serve like normal.

His serve started coming around 4th set
Serving for the set basically now
Gives back a mini break but up 5-3
Then Ace on the T

If they go 5 Tsonga will just out work him unless Shapo Droopy Dogs him

Tsonga sends it to a 5th

Unfortunately 5 sets is bad news for both guys, with the winner having to go through Kyrgios and Dimitrov just to make the quarters.

I am impressed by Tsonga's stamina so far, having not played since November. We'll see if it catches up to him in the 5th.

Shapo is toast.

Crazy that Tsonga made the final here 10 years ago. Has pretty much stayed a top 10-15 player ever since.

was looking at the h2h today and Monfils has never beaten Nole. Can't remember the exact number of games but it was quite a few 10+

Woz is about to get bounced. Is she the most overrated tennis player?

I want her to get one so badly. Just don't think it will ever happen.
