That in and of itself does not make one program better than another.
You've gotta be kidding me.
Let any of the three (58,03,07) LSU teams match up against Miami. I'd take Miami hands down. You're kidding yourself if you want to try and compare LSU and Miami.

Back on. Didn't see it at 9 when it first aired, so I'm watching it now. Will probably watch the first half tonight, since it's late, and watch the second half some other time.

LSU is being investigated right now.

LSU just hasn't done the things that Miami has in the past 3 decades.
3 decades is LSU's entire history. But it is Miami's.

Well they have one of the best teams of all time in 2001 and were robbed of a MNC in 2002.
Massive fail.

It's always good for guys to have spontaneity, and I hate the NCAA's rules on celebration, but at some point, players should act like they've been there already. If you have 100 tackles and 5 interceptions, there' no reason to do a dance after tipping a pass away from the tight end.
The whole thing about U players being involved in the program is a little overdone from guys like Feldman. Duke and UNC basketball players are often heavily involved with the team when they are done with school. Now I am pretty sure Grant Hill and Christian Laettner aren't cursing at Scheyer after a loss
, but they definitely have a relationship with the current players, just like Blades, Irvin, etc. I'm sure it's prevalent at most good programs since the players are very proud of their school.

It seemed like the filmmaker doesn't watch any college football at all. While the footage and the stories were awesome and entertaining, the actual film and their conclusions about Butch Davis destroying the program were laughable

if u people want to watch a good documentary on the whole Miami swagga scene and high school football watch "Year of the Bull" it shows how dudes get paid for big plays during high school games.

I would rather see players having fun than robots.

hes a street sensationalist. he made cocaine cowboys 1 and 2 and glorifies thuggery and all that. he made it look like since butch tried to clean the program's image that it made it suck because it tried to eliminate the whole swagger attitude.

Its about Miami Northwestern I take it?

Exactly...I mean Charles Scott and AJ Green got flagged for hugging teammates and thanking God respectively.

yeah and the recruitment of Taurean Charles, a top LB prospect who ended up at UF. shows you how big football is in the ghettos of Miami.

Yeah, the NCAA wants to ban emotion because it makes old white men nervous.

HH, doesn't it get contrived at some point? I am completely in support of ending excessive celebration penalties, but all the choreographed shite Deion did in his career was kind of lame.
I have seen a 10 minute clip of Year of the Bull. It looks like a hell of a film. Did the coach end up getting fired for all the shite that he did?
Enrique, I am assuming that Billy Corben has an upper-middle class background and probably never stepped foot in Liberty City or similar parts of town until his mid-20s. Is that right?

celebrating after a TD is fine but u dont think its annoying when they celebrate after making a standard tackle?

Agreed. The ending sucked, and looked like it was made by someone who doesn't watch much college football. Blaming Butch Davis for the collapse of the program was hilarious.
All in all very superficial. Like how can they not show the 1993 Sugar Bowl v. Alabama? Showing how dat swag occasionally blew up on them was also an interesting angle.

I think he's a U grad smart enough to capitalize on the whole "street scene" that is really popular in Miami. Little does he realize (or he probably doesn't give a shite cuz hes making $$) that this mentality perpetuates the cycle.

Yeah, some people take it too far, but I'd rather see Deion dance than Charles Scott get flagged for being mildly excited.
