Yea, it sucked that florida cancelled their annual series after miami beat them when they(florida) were #1.

In addition to that, and fsu as you mentioned, i believe they played Notre Dame annually. So i dont think their schedule was anything to sneeze at

i liked CFB a lot better when the traditional powers were good. ND vs FSU, ND vs Miami, etc were awesome.

They played Penn State frequently during the regular season and BC who were both stout in the 80s.

Seriously? He always had a reputation for being a pretty smart and level-headed guy so I was surprised to see him bring his inner Artie Lange on a big documentary when even Michael Irvin tried to be sort of professional..

Gator fans like to pretend the SEC forced them to.

they played them not long ago and beat them good. too much to expect UF to play a sec schedule, FSU, and miami too.

1) They seldom played ND
2) They didn't do too well against them

LSU's long affiliation with the SEC = better quality schedule and thus better quality wins

Miami as an independent = didn't get to play historic powerhouses as often

False.

Florida cancelled the series after 87, when the SEC went from 6 to 7 conference games. Florida was not #1 in 1987 at any point.

the SEC has no say, Florida can schedule who ever they want.

kinda odd that the U has a program glorifying their actions yet on Dec. 13, one day later, FSU gets an Outside the Lines show on their academic scandal.

They did well against them when their program was good. They didnt do well in the 70s. And blame notre dame for cancelling the series that it didnt continue. They played a significant amount of games in a 30 year span. I mean how many times does LSU play some of the teams in the east?

This is just speculation.

Once again speculation

Just finished watching it. They should have definitely given Butch Davis more credit than they did.

Yea, I think you are right. I had read before somewhere that claimed they were #1 at the time. I think that site may have confused their ranking with florida state

But this is about all of their history.

No. Tough to beat an SEC schedule. Six powerhouse programs. LSU also played TAMU on a regular basis when TAMU was at its best.

Once again speculation

not really
