Or, he wants a shot to beat Clemson.
FSU can do better than DJ.

I would be fine with this. I think he would thrive in Brohm's system. What we saw this year at QB for Louisville is not the norm for Jeff Brohm's offense.

So what. It was fine when the SEC was claiming to have awesome defenses while giving up 30-40 points in bowl games.
Even an ultra elite defense is going to give up 28+ to an ultra elite offense due to the rules advantages the offense has.
There are a million examples like UGA-Ohio State last year or LSU-Clemson 2019.
Ohio State had an ultra elite offense last year. QB, WR, etc.
There isn’t an offense anywhere close to that this year in the B10 because the QB play isn’t there. If you don’t play any elite QBs/offenses there is no way to tell how you will handle it when you do because you aren’t being tested by units who can expose the things that separate elite defenses from good defenses.
An example was 2020 Ohio State. That was a functional defense, but one with critical gaps that were exposed badly against a vertical passing attack.
Nationally the list is of elite tier offenses/offenses is pretty short:
LSU (Daniels)
UW (Penix/WRs)
ORE (Nix)
UGA (Beck/Bowers/McConkey)
Late season Bama was arguably elite offensively but erratic
UM has an elite run game but is the passing game even functional right now?
Texas (Ewers/Worthy/etc)
In other words there is only one top 10-15 type QB in the entire B10 based on QBR and he’s been struggling badly down the stretch statistically.

Safe to say we will know We will? Most of the experimenced talent on these teams will be getting ready for the draft.
I agree opt outs will matter, but outside of 1st rd guys like Daniels (LSU), Harrison (OSU) etc hopefully it doesn’t become pervasive enough to cheat us out of having a sense of what these units would look like at peak strength.

Former Texas Tech quarterback Tyler Shough is transferring to Louisville, he told ESPN. Shough, 24, will be a seventh-year senior who turns 25 next year. He’s played at both Oregon and Texas Tech since starting his college career in 2018.

You can thank Ryan Day hiring his drinking buddy for that. Dip shite thought they could just trot 4* and 5* out there and lock people up.
