If PHS were to ever get there, it would have to be this year, but they would have to get a perfect playoff draw. I feel confident on a good year, but a state championship is prolly not gonna happen. Im not sure what to expect from the O-Line.

Shyrone was one of my favorite players to watch in HS. I don't think I understood anything he said, but he was the little engine that could.

I believe I remember Shyrone being 40/81 his senior year in passing. Passing plays were thrown in for comic relief, though. Shoulda brought a shotgun for all those ducks.

When does fall practice start? I live a mile from the school, I might stop by and watch one day.

Shaw was pretty good Shyrone's senior year. It's a shame they lost in the first round. Shyrone Carey was pretty unstoppable.

Shy actually had a decent arm was always throwing on the run...

At RB his soph year was unreal....better team than what he had as a jr and sr.

Shy did graduate from college and is a stand up guy as a grown up....

This might be best qb hank has had since a guy w he last name joseph

Warren Easton wins the national 7-on-7 title... They'll be #1 preseason in all likelyhood... Maybe we should do a LA top 25 poll every week of the season on the MSB? They do it for college baseball

In all seriousness, Shaw only lost to Curtis or WM early that year and it took a couple of trick plays by Acadiana to even keep it close. They would have fared better against Ruston than we did. We were seeded 30th or 29th, don't remember. I do remember Shyrone had something close to like 300 yards rushing that game. It was a damn good game. A Shaw supporter said something about the all black uni's being bad luck? Those all black uni's were sweet.

With that being said, I thought ponchatoula would be ranked higher than that. They had athletes all over the field when I saw them.

They were 0-2 in the black unis...

That shaw team was not very good except for #2...

Catholic league was not very stout that year either.....

Lost to wm in week 1 21-7

4A will be interesting this year for sure. Semi finals will be great, and I bet EJ doesn't even make it to quarters.
