The Stadium is the Story in Omaha

To be fair, it has always been.
For decades fans flocked to Omaha to experience all that was the CWS at Rosenblatt Stadium. The tailgating, locals parking folks in their yard, the offense, the colorful bleachers. No matter who was in Omaha, the Blatt always delivered.
Fast forward to today and all we talk about with the CWS is whether or not the wind is blowing in, or where the LF needs to stand to not be blinded by afternoon sun, or the foul territory. If you get a lead in this park the game is over. You barely can hear the crowd because they are a county away from the action due to the ridiculous (and ugly) foul territory.
I’m not sure that they could have built a worse park for THIS event honestly.
Congrats NCAA, you took your most charming and beloved event and turned it into another corporate bland cardboard box

Because of this I am in favor of rotating the CWS the same the way they do the final four.
Change happened and there needs to be more changes now.

The stadium has been the story ever since the move.

The only plus of the park is that it’s middle ground for everyone. But In todays world that doesn’t mean shite as easy as it is to travel.

The drive from BR to Omaha is pure torture

Why would you drive when a southwest roundtrip ticket is like $300?

In Rosenblatt the RF was blinded for life

You can't put a motorhome in the hold of a B737

Pretty sure when Omaha agreed to build the stadium they locked in a 20 year deal with the NCAA.

If they move it, Memphis would be perfect.

We're really blaming the NCAA for the design of a stadium that's owned by the city of Omaha?

Pretty sure the NCAA pressured them into building a new stadium. The new stadium coinciding with a new long term contract to keep the CWS in Omaha wasn’t a coincidence. What’s funny is their AAA team who played in Rosenblatt built a different stadium instead of moving to TDA

Was the old stadium demolished? It was right next to the zoo. So probably?

Take off your purple and gold glasses and you'll see - nobody gives a shite. Rosenblatt was awesome back in the 90's when LSU was crushing championships but nobody else on earth gave a flying frick. Now that they do, we aren't relevant.

Zoo bought it to expand so yeah it was. Pretty sure they left a home plate marker or something but the stadium is gone
