The Rose Bowl is one of the most overrated events in all of sports

The venue is aged and overrated. The game in only relevant when it’s a semifinal.

Maybe, but that flyover was legit. I don't recall ever seeing Lancers before.

Have you ever been?

IMO, one of the best venues in sports.

The venue is ridiculously shitty for as much praise as it gets.

The stadium is a joke. There are high school stadiums more updated.

Said earlier, but I went to the LSU game last year. Even with the loss it’s one of my favorite away game experiences. The Rose Bowl stadium and surrounding area are a ton of fun

Didn’t they invent bowl game invitationals? It use to be that college football ended after the regular season.

Not everyone needs a massive video scoreboard to enjoy a football game.

It's a gorgeous setting, and Pasadena is a fantastic city. Plus, the football game is only one piece of all of the festivities that occur there over the holidays. Highly recommended.

We won a national championship there in 2009 and won the Rose Bowl in Jerry’s World just two years ago

Cut the shit! It's a " meaningless" game with 100,000 people attending. Southerners love to shite on it for some reason. But it is usually the most entertaining game....and the players genuinely want to be out there.

I mean yeah its.a different experience.....the stadium is from the 1920's. Built around the same time as Legion Field.....location is special but wondering if they move it to SOFI? Probably have to at some point to keep Rose Bowl relevant.....Cotton Bowl moved to AT&T

I’ve never been a fan of the game itself because the matchups are usually uninteresting shite like today’s. But I hate this idea that classic old stadiums must be “updated” with all the new flashy gimmicky crap, otherwise they are “ shite.” I feel like it’s as beautiful a setting as their is in American sports.

The Rose Bowl is like the Masters. They have frick you money and honestly don't mind anyone else thinks. They'd still do the Tournament of Roses with or without football.
