What's your favorite rout of the Irish? Mine is the 2001 Fiesta Bowl: Oregon State 41, Notre Dame 9.

Notre Dame’s New Tradition Is Getting Its arse Kicked in Big Bowl Games

"The Fighting Irish keep getting invited to college football’s most important and prestigious postseason games. They keep losing—by a lot."

"This Notre Dame team is the worst selection in the seven-year history of the playoff, considering that the recently demolished Irish were picked over a handful of undefeated teams. They are 20-point underdogs against Alabama, the largest spread in the history of the playoff—and the third-largest spread in the history of bowl games ever."

Notre Dame’s defense made Jamarcus Russell a lot of money

Well, at least they gave the ACC some legitimacy this year.

Tell me what worthy, more deserving team with a better record was left out?

Raiders fans can blame Notre Dame. JaMarcus Russell torched the Irish so badly that he became the no. 1 pick in the next NFL draft.

I loved this game, but what I remember most was Terry Bradshaw doing CC with Howie Long and my word it was awful.

I think that’s the beginning of the SEC chants.

Watching those JaMarcus highlights reminds me to why i hated jimbos offense at times.

Everything was so short when we have a cannon, Bowr and 3 burner WRs

Disagree. They're better than 2015 MSU

It was the Tennessee vs Mississippi State SEC championship game in 1998. That’s where I first heard the chant.

Was looking for an excuse to dust off this one:

Small, unathletic walk-on injures 9 starters in Notre Dame football practice

I must still be half asleep. It took me half the article to realize it was the Onion

Nope. They were doing this in at least the 80's. I remember the Ole Miss fans chanting this before the game in the opening round of the 1987 NIT vs Southern Miss. Pissed off, USM won by almost 30.

For me it's obviously the 2007 Sugar Bowl: LSU 41, Notre Dame 14.

A) It was LSU.
B) I was there.

The Oregon State game was amazing. OSU had all these juco guys nobody else would touch and got personal fouls every other play. Damn they were good though

Sorry that your team doesn’t have a national fan base.

Sure They’re better
But who else was up for selection in that year?
I don’t remember any controversy with them being the 3 seed
