Saban had, at least, had a very successful career in the NFL.

He did? I thought Saban had a losing record as an NFL head coach

he did. He was a pretty good DC for the browns, but he was under belichick, so it’s hard to say how much credit he deserves

Meyer isn't a good coach unless he has the very best skill players at every position.

The funny and ironic thing is, he hired those “losers” to be his assistants.

Saban part deux.

Some guys just can't coach at the highest level.

Saban can coach in the NFL. Urban isn’t tough enough for it. He just can’t handle adversity.

The assistants are losers who can’t work in concert with a winner. You stack enough losers in a room and the winner can not overcome their collective failure. Meyers is a winner who has every right to demand an audit of their resumes and for all of them to explain themselves in a coaches meeting...one by one.

I don't think this is a coaching issue, this team is just devoid of talent. Maybe he doesn't know what to do if he can't just go get a bunch of 5-star players.

Saban ran into the same issue, they're control freaks.

THIS.

from fricking day 1 the media has been in his shite, and now they're speaking that shite into existence.

I feel the exact opposite. Media treated it like a legitimate hire and not an obvious disaster. People legitimately were saying that he would change the culture and bringing in Tebow would help.

1. Saban is adaptable. I have no doubt he can coach successfully in the NFL with a good quarterback. But I think it’s inarguable that he made the right call in going back to college.

2. Saban has had some big wins as with underdog teams, including the recent SECCG. All coaches have to have talent, but you don’t win seven national titles with just players.

You don't bench your best player for a single fumble, especially when the guy behind him is Carlos Hyde

Especially when Hyde went on to fumble and be allowed to come right back out.

It's funny watching the Urban fanboys trying to spin how this is good for his career after most of us on here said that he wasn't a pro coach.
