You can't make targeting calls in situations like that, it's a stupid rule and every fan should be against it.

Bull shite

That’s not their job

Call the stupid penalty when it occurs

You don’t get to decide when a call is appropriate when it meets every criteria for the violation

The defender very easily could’ve taken out his legs, but he didn’t

The refs did the right thing and it turned this game into an OT classic, no one wanted this to end on a dumb targeting call.

Then don’t commit a targeting penalty

lol. Helmet to helmet on a defenseless receiver that resulted in a concussion. Equally as bad as the no call when Mingo KO’d Harrison a few years ago

It’s just the same as these ncaa tourney games where they let these scrubs play like Bill Lambier and Rodman in the Palace at Auburn Hills. shite is a joke. Be consistent.

I hate that attitude. You can and should make the call in those situations. Selective enforcement of the rules determined by game situation is retarded.

This is the dumbest opinion in sports.

If it’s a penalty in the first quarter, it’s a penalty in the fourth quarter

Then they should have never made the rule as it’s written in the first place. I’ve seen it called and confirmed for a hell of a lot less. It just stinks to high heaven when stuff like that happens and the ref’s discretion on reviews almost always seems to favor the media darling and bails them out of a tight spot.

The no call is just as game changing as making the call.

Grow a pair and make the call.

Instead of giving ASU the chance to win in regulation, they gave Texas the chance to.

The frick if they didn’t. The fix was in it. They went Texas for bigger money.

Neither should be targeting, both are classic american football plays, the defender meant no harm on either hit.

But it's ok to make that call with 7:40 left in the 2nd quarter? bullshite. A rule is a rule. 1st play, 80th play, last play doesn't matter.

So players can blatantly target as long as it’s at the end of close games because “nobody wants it to end on a dumb penalty”. Got it.

If this was the case then they wouldn't have thrown ASU a favorable penalty on the 2pt conversion.
