‘The Pat McAfee Show’, SiriusXM parting ways: ‘Never made an offer’

“The Pat McAfee Show” will be looking for a new radio home.
McAfee told The Post that the show’s time at SiriusXM is over after the network “never made an offer to continue our partnership” and there are “no ill feelings” between the two.McAfee’s show, which has become a regular home for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, has been broadcast on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio from noon-3 p.m. since September 2020 while also being streamed on YouTube. It’s become a massive hit as the 35-year-old McAfee, a former Colts punter turned media darling, signed a $120 million deal with FanDuel Sportsbook last December to sponsor the show. McAfee called it a great two-year run. While McAfee told The Post they have spoken to a few places about housing that audio-only version of the show, his partnership with FanDuel could provide at least one potential avenue. The FanDuel Group announced last week its intent to launch the FanDuel TV network and the OTT platform FanDuel+ in September. McAfee’s PMI Network will be producing content for the FanDuel network.
McAfee seemed excited for whatever that next chapter brings.
“Find where you’re celebrated… not where you’re tolerated,” McAfee tweeted. “Makes life A LOT more fulfilling.” Well damn Pat

I don’t listen to it on the radio but his channel on YouTube is the only sports channel I subscribe to on YouTube.

Chris "Mad Dog" Russo always hated McAfee on his channel because Pat used dirty words, wasn't some basement sports nerd who grew up in the New York metro area, and didn't give two shits about shitting on other pro athletes.
It's the absolute antithesis of WFAN-esque played out sports talk 'hot take' guy radio and Mad Dog still thinks it's 1986 and all his listeners are in Long Island.
I have full confidence XM will replace McAfee with someone like Maggie Gray, who is based in NY and host last week said offensive linemen in the NFL aren't talented athletes and all they do is "move people" for a living. Watch. It will happen...

Those mainstream shows offer zero insight, it’s all WWE level nonsense

Not surprising. He repeatedly buried Sirius the entire time he was on there and would routinely screw up the timing for radio breaks. Never seemed to be very important to him and I doubt Sirius was thrilled about it. At one point he was joking about not being sure if anyone even used Sirius to listen to him.

I've been a huge fan of the show for a while now and have only followed on YouTube. The daily 3-4 hour show on YouTube routinely gets 250k+ views. Mcafee built a machine, I don't see this making a big impact.
They have NFL rights now which already puts them in the top tier of sports shows. Mcafee will have his own micd up show with NFL films too. The show is only going to get bigger

mistake to get him off mad dog but definitely seemed to be a culture clash between McAfee and Russo

I remember listening to some of the other shows on Mad Dog right after they put Pat in the channel and every show had people calling complaining about the language.

That or they will put Danny Kanell back on. I think I rather have the monotone woman.

Love his show. One of the most naturally gifted speakers in this space. Once he gets going the words could go on for hours.
Couple that with the fact that he's blitzed during his show, it's impressive.

SiriusXM seemingly made no effort to keep Barstool either. Strange business model they have over there.
