The Times has learnt that Young, the world No 17 and one of the PGA Tour’s breakout stars this season, could well follow Smith to LIV Golf after the conclusion of the FedEx Cup play-offs next month. The 25-year-old’s heroics at the 18th, leapfrogging Rory McIlroy into second place, were worth an additional $522,000 (about £426,000)

Expected to be this year’s PGA Rookie of the year. #17 ranked golfer in the world.

Cam Young stood on the 18th of the Open needing an eagle to tie Cam Smith for the lead. The guy calmly sank a nervy putt and got his eagle. Alfalfa needs a birdie on the 18th to tie Cam Smith. He pars the hole, of course. And Cam Young finishes second. Young is clutch. He has had a great rookie year.

This is getting to be some serious attrition for any sport.

Damn, big of true.

There was zero smoke about him leaving, and it felt like we knew pretty much every other guy that would be gone

Don’t worry no one will watch because it isn’t real golf and it’s on YouTube - what did I miss?

This is great for LIV. Horrible for PGAT.

People arguing about LIV on the internet is about as worthless about arguing politics. Nobody will ever change anyones mind about anything.

That being said, this is a blow to the Tour for sure. Smith is young and career peaking right now.

Im absoutely allowed to, but even I think it’s tiresome at this point to argue the exact same things over and over and over again

Rumors, and then people yelling at each other. When new court cases and OWGR releases come out it’s one thing , but good god it takes someone even more autistic than me to continue on daily

We've had what I consider a lot of meaningful conversation and interesting discussion on the topic since you stopped shite posting.

Thank you for removing yourself and idiotic postings

Norman won't stop until he destroys the PGA Tour with his war chest of unlimited funds.

I regret calling him out.

Apologies to all but I thought he had more personal integrity.

I can't really blame him for being pissed. He's definitely an egomaniac, but I don't think anyone would argue the Tour straight boned him on the WGC's. That was his idea and he was trying to do the best thing for world golf bringing it to the Tour.

Dude holds grudges, but so does the rest of the world
