I just dont like him very much. Him being with the Dodgers doesnt help. He’s a great player and the dislike it totally irrational.

Similar to when the Cubs got Lackey. One of those “alright he’s on our team now” things

I think Happ stays, you can play him against lefties and you can’t with Schwarber

If the cubs want machado that means Bryant moves to LF.

You can’t really do anything with heyward or chatwood. My guess is they experiment with Chatwood out the pen

I don’t think they re-sign Murphy. I think we got to LH heavy at times. I think that’s part of the reason Schwarber goes. But they will make an exception for Harper.

I do think they bring Hamels back. Yu needs to be at least a high 3.00 ERA guy

Are you saying he's not a SS? I tend to agree, but if Addi is gone, then I'd be ok with Machado at SS.

I'm really glad the 2016 team broke through and won the WS, that team had "it". These past 2 versions of the Cubs have not.

(1) Pickup club option on Hamels. 2019 Rotation becomes: Lester, Hendricks, Hamels, Darvish, Quintana.

(2) Make a run at Harper, but if you don't land Harper - re-sign Murphy (Harper, Murphy, Heyward, Schwarber, Rizzo may be a little too left handed).

(3) Fire Chili Davis

(4) Convince the whole team to work this off-season. The past 2 years have involved the team taking a while to get into a rythem.

He wants to play SS but he’s not better defensively than Baez or Russell. I guess they could make that concession but it kills our great infield defense

I'd totally be ok with Bryant in LF.

I think LeMahieu is a free agent. If he is, I wouldn’t mind getting him back to play 2nd. He would be a decent on base guy for the top of the order.

I think we need to start the process of moving on from Russell. If he’s suspended, there’s not really much we can do. We just need to have a good contingency plan. If he’s not, I think we need to move him for some pitching.

First order of business - Fire Chili Davis

Although I agree that no progress was made this year besides Javy and JHey idk if he deserves a bulk of the blame, he can’t go swing the bat for these guys. The second half showing by the cubs bats were a joke so heads will roll, I just hope it’s more personnel rather than just coaches, this collapse is on the players not joe and chili.

Hamels that pitched for the cubs is worth 20 mil easy..... honestly we should offer 2 year 35 mil extension and keep him around, he loves the cubs. Honestly besides Byrizzo and Javy everyone can go or stay, idc, they were all awful and need to take a hard look in the mirror. Who knows what’s wrong with KB but I’m gonna trust he’s gonna figure it out because he was a huge problem.

Any truth to the the rumor that the Cubs have, based on previous "baseball metrics", at least 104 years before they win again?

I remember when he was worth a ton. Sad.

Showed improvements across the board including walk rate up, K rate down. Still 25. There are AL teams who would come knocking on the door if he were to be available
