Seattle has an awesome gameday experience. I would say it's worth it if you can get them for face value. I really want to go to the Sunday night game against the 49ers, but the cheapest ticket right now is $216.
I may be going to the Saints MNF game there for my bachelor party

Personally, sitting in the nosebleeds for any game sucks - I'd rather watch on a plasma. Some people love it up there tho - to each his own.
I like to be at home on NFL weekends because I like to track and watch other NFL games (for fantasy football or gambling purposes).
It's also fun to get together with fam/friends and cookout etc. I don't mind going to the Dome once a year tho, but it's expensive and time-consuming.
It's all about personal preference and how you value your time and money.

the Dome has WiFi now, should be able to stream games. You can bring ipads in too

the Gulf Coast Tours Bus.
it leaves from the Mall which is just minutes from I-65. Once you get on that interstate, you're not far from the exit to get on I-10. That bus is always full of fans. Its $40 per person but I'd be spending more if I drove my truck over, I can tell you that

I also have trouble texting and accessing the internet in the Dome as well.

I only go to NFL games if I get free tickets... no way i'm dropping serious cash on something I care very little about.
I can understand why people do it, but it's not for me.

I have a friend that absolutely cannot understand why I don't go to every single football game in the state of Louisiana (Saints, LSU mostly). He simply cannot fathom it.

They have upgraded all of this this past year. I have Sprint and have no problems using my phone now.

they added towers and WiFi at the end of the year. Really adds to the experience with FF

well, most college fans that live here(Mobile) have a longer drive to Auburn or Tuscaloosa. I mean that is what the majority of state is interested in anyway. But seeing how Mobile isn't very far from New Orleans, we have a lot of Saints fans here.

3-4 home games is enough for me per year.

Since the game is in December, I would suggest taking a trip up to Whistler and spending a few days there. If that is out of your budget, there's some decent places in Washington too, but Whistler has the nightlife.

Last year when they sucked you could but when I went to the Panthers game during the 13-3 season (last game of the year when they already were in the playoffs), the cheapest was $120 for a pointless game.
Then you are bad at finding tickets. Go to NFL ticket exchange a short time before a game, maybe early morning that day, or a day before and you'll find a good deal. I found tickets to the SNF Lions game about 4 hours before kick off. They were 2nd row on the top level (not bad at all), and they were about $50-60 each.
I need to see at least 1 game live every season, personally. I prefer it live, but I live about 2 hours from New Orleans, that and being 23 with not a whole lot of money also makes it difficult to do much more than that.

Usually deals can be found on a live sporting event like NFL or a big college game if you are flexible.
The problem is that if you are making a whole trip just for the game you want to have the tickets in hand before you leave or else it will be stressful.
So sure, if you live in NOLA or within a couple of hours you just go down for the day you can always fish for a good deal and if you can't find one just watch it at home, but if you are only planning on attending one or two games and you have to plan stuff out ahead of time you are usually going to end up paying more for the tix.

The live football experience is TERRIBLE. Its the most expensive ticket and the game is literally watching guys pick their nose on the sideline 10x more than the actual game play

Besides the obvious financial issue, my problem with going to Saints games is the noon kickoff. I would have to wake up early to get to the dome in time to park and be in my seat for kickoff. This gets all the more difficult after a late night in Tiger Stadium.

NFL games live are great.
Just get into a tailgate at Texans games. You will find some guy who will give or sell you his ticket at face value because tailgate beer is cheaper.
That all being said, a lot of damage can be done at a good sports bar for what you will pay in person. And you get better beer and if not tailgating you will get better food.
Good sports bars can give you a near game experience.
And if you are a fantasy football degenerate like me a sports bar is always best.
