You are right. One last night shouldn't have been a foul either.

Seen a ton of posts of fans apologizing to OKC because they didn’t realize how dirty the Spurs are.

Spurs tried to play OKC straight up for 5 games. Gave them a longer leash than we did Minnesota (3 games). Everyone wants to cry that they just HAVE to play SA "physical" (been the playbook since Jan/Feb when the league started to realize the Spurs were for real), then play victim when they realize these young Spurs ain't the choir boys of the Pop/Big 3 era. Give 'em smoke, they'll eventually give it back. And they're better at it than your favorite team. Wanna play basketball? Let's hoop. Wanna play prison ball? SA can do that, too. Pick your poison.

Right one is vs OKC and SA didn’t even get a foul.

This is a lie. Not only did Carter Bryant get called for a foul, it was even reviewed for a potential flagrant.

You're down 2-1 with a massive free throw advantage. Get over yourself.

How am I not over myself? I've done nothing but give the Knicks props. They've scouted SA perfectly, so all the wins are coming in the margins. Spurs' youth has showed with how the Knicks executed better down the stretch in games 1 and 2. SA's counter is how they built a free throw advantage (note: the Knicks were only called for two more fouls than SA last night): putting constant pressure on the rim. They settled for way too many jumpers in the first two games. When Vic is more of a paint presence against a team like nYk, they're forced to foul more. Knicks can do the similarly with KAT and Brunson, but they went away from KAT in the 2nd half while OG's hot hand kept them afloat.

This is basketball chess, and I love it. I'm interested to see how SA handles nYk's game 4 adjustments.

I didn’t know there was another side of OKC I could enjoy hating but them getting bounced and crying for 2 weeks about a series they aren’t even in has been like heroin

Wrong, they did review and determined not anything. Go back and look. But keep deflecting too, I love how Wimpy fans come out in droves anytime someone shows how dirty he or Spurs are. Very defensive. And trying to justify his dirty hits and non calls.

You will never find anything even close to being dirty with SGA. At most exaggeration of fouls but not actually elbowing players and all the other dirty stuff. He only had 3 techs all year one was waving towel on bench at teammate making a great play. Another was playfully tossing ball back to opposing player which was tossed not thrown. Wimpy has so many dirty plays just on these playoffs he makes Dort look like Mother Teresa.

Most fans fell for the social media narrative and are now seeing the truth come out. There is a narrative shift happening in these playoffs and SA fans will have to deal with that in the years to come. Wimpy is no longer that feel good story he’s a dirty player.

I love all these Pelican fans crying and when was the last time they even mattered as a team? Maybe when they played in OKC?

Big deal. Look at their attendance, most in NO seem to have forgotten too.

Never forget OKC had Harden Westbrook and KD and came away with 0 titles.

They're one of the luckiest franchises in the league and have one injury ring to show for it

Keep your chin up. If the chips fall just right and you get a little luck, y’all could make the play-in next year.

Spurs are definitely taking advantage of “questionable” refereeing to play ultra physical, borderline dirty. Having said that, it is hysterical for Thunder fans to whine about another team being dirty.

Why are you lying? It was reviewed for a potential flagrant (not given because no contact to head/neck area), but it was called and upheld as a common foul on Carter Bryant. What are you doing here?

Ah, I see the issue. You're a Wemby hater. That's fine. I'm a fan of Wemby's game, but I'm a Spurs fan first--been one since before Pop was even a head coach.

Wemby gets away with plenty, and also gets plenty of dirty shite done to him that isn't called. That's basketball, especially in the playoffs. His elbow against the T-Wolves was in direct retaliation to McDaniels clocking him in the face (after Naz Reid elbowed him in the nuts--neither foul was called). Not excusing it, but let's not act like it usually comes out of nowhere. Also, I'm perfectly fine with him being a villain. I actually prefer that for my Spurs anyway--it's weird being the bandwagon team

Also, I don't hate SGA or the Thunder, nor do I think he's a dirty player. The whole team pushes the rules with the flopping, and they do get a friendlier whistle when juxtaposed with their ferocious defense, but at the end of the day, they've just mastered how to bait and sell contact as a team better than most. Have to beat them at their own game (which SA did), but on the whole, I don't hate the Thunder (Alex Caruso is one of my favorite players in the whole league, for reasons I'd hope are obvious ).

The narratives were justified, but I don't do narratives, really. I just like talking hoop. SA fans are quite accustomed to being the villains, and if we win enough, we'll be that again in short order. Like I said, I welcome it

You seem more invested in this either way than I am, bruv

I'm sure we'll see y'all again next postseason
