So the clock operator runs two seconds off after the ref already signaled to stop the clock (14s to 12s). Then the clock operator started the clock before the ball was within 15 yards of where it was suppose to be set. So it was down to 6s before the ball was even to the center's hand.

The right thing to do would have been to stop play and fix the damn clock and not take their time out away.

Alabama got the no call on the block in the back.

Alabama got the no call on some extreme holding on the first down at the goal line.

Alabama got the huge benefit on the refs frick up of the clock at the end of the half.

What has gone Clemson's way to even that shite out?

Doesn't the clock stay stopped until the ball is set? Or is it the down marker? Either way, it looks like they screwed up. I just went back to watch. Neither was set when the clock started again.

Initially, the clocked inappropriately went from :15 (WR down) to :12 before the stop. Then, then inexplicably continued to run it down to :06 and the ball had not been set for for play. Egregious officiating there!

It has to be the ball being set. Let's say the chains are set but the refs throw the ball in and the umpire drops it. The offense is hurt becuase of that?

I'll go ahead and make a prediction: Clemson is going to get the benefit of the doubt on a huge call this half.

These are PAC 12 refs: they aren't biased for either team; they are just simply the worst officials in college football. They're going to frick up just as bad for Clemson as they just did for Alabama in the first half.

If Clemson loses by 3 or less, that clock operator should be shot.

Whoever down voted this is a moronic fan. The ball was not set by the black ref until the clock was at :07 and ready until :06...by that time, it forced Clemson to use the TO. Refs completely fricked Clemson.

May be an odd question:

Is anyone else seeing a crazy jump and haziness to the news ticker on the ESPN stations?

I have a new Samsung 55" and ESPN is the only station that I'm seeing this screen jump.

For Clemson to win, Urban Myer said spread the field and let your quarterback run or throw quick passes.

That's how he beat Bama.

Nope. It's the 8 on the field. Clock operators job is to do water he is told by signal on the field.
