Never seen an all-11 blitz before. It's rediculous looking.
ULL is at fault here though. It's a pass play. They weren't running out the clock, it's a pass in shot gun. The RB is even on a route.

reminds me of petrino bitching that LSU ran the score up on him last year .. the dumb frick was blitzing late in the game down by 17 .. someone's going to get hurt running into a blitz .. so frick them .. throw the ball on them if they are going to blitz ..

i agree. im just unsure why they couldnt have done that with a punt out of bounds. would have avoided all controversy but really its mostly a non issue.
also he still could have just thrown it out of bounds. its really on ULL at that point to take the foot off the pedal, not ULM imo. Play was funny though.

Tabby's brother Ben Soginier was a bad mofo that played for ULM baseball several years ago. I think she does a pretty good job as a ULM beat writer most times. But that whining arse article was pretty weak.

i don't know the quality of ULLs punter, but he should have been able to boom a punt out of bounds and maybe leave 1 second on the clock (doubtful though. 95% chance it's over)

They did, up until that play. They ran into the LOS 3 straight times.
They may have called a play for him to run around and throw it away on the 4th down, but with a all 11 blitz, he didn't have time. As I said earlier, blitzing like that with no chance of victory just means you're trying to hurt someone. If that's the case, you should get exploited.
