He clearly seemed talented at identifying talent and building a roster
He just had absolutely no people skills and didn't realize that was a major part of his job. Hes lucky that he was a gm then, and not now, cause today's MJ would not have stayed with the bulls his whole career if Krause was the head executive

He was there for what, 18 years? How was he there for that long if he was so horrible?
Gar Forman was there for 22 and ran the Bulls back in the ground twice in that period

the biggest possession of the game, Muggsy had the ball with the Hornets down one. Jordan backed off of him and told him, 'Shoot it, you fricking midget.' Muggsy shot it, didn’t come close. A year later Muggsy actually told Johnny Bach that he believes that single play ruined his career. His shot never recovered.

Yeah. But Pippen is not the one to trade.

Say Pippen renegotiates after the first three-peat, could they still even trade for Rodman, who was making $9 mil the second year of his contract in Chicago?

Bulls should’ve renegotiated with him before the end of his contract in good faith after multiple championships.
They didn’t have to. He was under contract.
Teams owe these guys nothing besides what they are currently under contract for.
It’s like this in all business where people are under contract.

Definitely can see why MJ is the way he is based on his upbringing

The story is the story. Also, a lot of this is probably years old interviews which could've been before he died.

Shouldn’t have signed his contract then.
Kinda true I mean BOTH KRAUSE AND REINSDORF say they warned Scottie not to sign his 1991 contract and still double down on that and I don't think Scottie ever rebutted that argument, Scottie always thought short-term instead of long and gave up on his team in the playoffs when Phil called a last-second shot for Kukoc. That's notwithstanding that, immediately before the Bulls called timeout to devise the Kukoc play, Scottie immediately went into "heave a prayer from halfcourt" mode after Ewing just tied that game. Scottie was an interesting cat to say the least.

I know they didn’t have to.
But we see contacts get negotiated in multiple sports when players produce more. He was arguably the #2 guy in the NBA at the time. And a key component of multiple championships.
You throw the guy a fricking bone.

Seems like a lot of these dynasties became dynasties because of some kind of great financial break for the GM who is building the roster.
Curry's ankles led to him being vastly underpaid when the Warriors run started, allowing them to sign players they otherwise would not have been able to afford.
The Bulls had a vastly underpaid Scottie Pippen because he signed a retarded contract.
The Spurs lucked into drafting Tim Duncan when David Robinson got hurt.

The most Bulls 90's NBA thing I just heard from The Last Dance director.
Ahmad Rashad was at the first MJ interview for this documentary. They had just come from the golf course.

Can't forget about MJ ruining Rodney McCray the one year he played with the Bulls to get a ring. I mean, McCray was not a scrub player in the league when he played but became just that that season as he couldn't measure up to Jordan's tough leadership, revealed a lot.
