I mean, he had no incentive to kiss anyone’s arse at that point. Why should he? They weren’t paying him close to what he was worth and had no desire to renegotiate. Krause was publicly calling out for trade offers because he had a rebuild hard on.

Not a fan of these dudes ripping a guy that’s six feet deep.

Shouldn’t have signed his contract then.

Luc Longley made more money than Scottie?

I agree about honoring the contract but a competent GM would’ve done everything to keep Pippen happy. Pippen @ $2.8 million is absurd

Tell ya what tGOAT has those same drunk yellow eyes like his old man.

I understand Pippen being upset that management was openly talking about trading him. I can understand how he would feel disrespected.
However, being traded doesn't mean the team doesn't want you or appreciate what you've done as a player. Good players get traded too for the good of the team.
So I don't blame Krause for considering trading him. However, it was absolutely retarded to talk about it publicly while Pippen is still on the roster.

I agree. It is rare to see a GM being that open about trade discussions with the media

He was just some dirt poor kid out of Central Arkansas happy to get a paycheck to play ball. He didn’t exactly have a huge bargaining chip coming in even as a Top 5 pick.
Bulls should’ve renegotiated with him before the end of his contract in good faith after multiple championships.

Yeah. But Pippen is not the one to trade.

LOL at Jordan calling Scottie selfish while MJ was making $33M that season

Exactly. He was there for what, 18 years? How was he there for that long if he was so horrible?
Krause was a pretty good GM, making it even more frustrating
By pretty good I mean he was good at identifying talent, there’s no doubt

My favorite Jordan story.
quote:
the biggest possession of the game, Muggsy had the ball with the Hornets down one. Jordan backed off of him and told him, 'Shoot it, you fricking midget.' Muggsy shot it, didn’t come close. A year later Muggsy actually told Johnny Bach that he believes that single play ruined his career. His shot never recovered.

Just saw MJ dunking over Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward

He just took after MJ, who had been taking pot shots at Krause. Why do superstar athletes need to belittle this ugly, frumpy fat guy?
Antonio Brown called his GM a cracker and got suspended. They berate Krause for years and nothing happened to them. There's no way their behavior would fly today.
This was a dysfunctional team and I'm surprised that they did well in spite of it.
