Lebron is the worst thing that could have happened to my Lakers. I want him gone asap. He's a piece of shite drama queen and players see through his bullshite now. He won't win another title and will never approach MJ as GOAT.

He is great at putting up ridiculous numbers, so he has that. Just not when it matters.

This is a fun little thing to talk about on the internet but in reality, trading Lebron James would be just about the front office equivalent of committing suicide.

All the goodwill the Lakers have built over the course of history with superstars and their agents would basically be destroyed in one swing. It would be a loooong time before another superstar ever tried to move heaven and earth to become a Laker imho

That’s what I came to post. Besides just being a big “frick you” to Lebron, I actually think it makes sense for both sides.

Yep it def should be three in a row. And some say four of five. Unprecented isn’t it. Although I give the one five years ago to steph. 4 top 2 in 5 years puts him in the upper upper echelon all time. Especially considering the guys he is beating year in year out. Lebron, Kevin, etc etc.

Doubtful. I remember watching CC in the finals v Boston back in 1986. I have vivid memories of basketball from a very very young age.

People who thought a 34 year old LeBron was going to be able to play consistently at a high level were fooling themselves. Even when he was healthy he played little defense and took plays off.

He isn't capable of giving max effort for a full regular season like he was in his Miami days and the first 7 years in Cleveland.

He was willing a young core of players to a high seed in the west. That's pretty exciting. The groin injury plus Magic/Pelinka/LeBron/Klutch eagerness or impatience to do a deal unraveled everything. The Lakers still might be better off in the long run waiting for the free agents to come. The problem is everyone wants instant gratification these days and LeBron is a lightning rod for criticism, so things like this trade deadline get overblown.
