"You gave the fans one of the most riveting comebacks in NHL history, in any sport history," Trump said. "I don't know anything about a comeback, but they tell me it's very nice."
Tkachuk, the only U.S.-born player on the team this season who was part of the Cup run, thanked Trump for hosting the Panthers, adding that "being one of the few Americans who loves this country so much, this is such an incredible day for myself. You wake up every day really grateful to be an American, so thank you."

I’m not a big fan of the Tkachuk family from a rival sports perspective, but I’ll be the first to admit that the Tkachuk‘s are American badasses.

Ehhh?
They were up 3-0 and went to game 7.

If I find out that an Alabama Crimson Tide player or an Atlanta Falcons player is MAGA AF, then I have a completely different outlook on that player. That’s the game that really matters.

Don does look good for 78. I've seen 48 year Olds that look older than him.

Maybe he’s alluding to the fact that they lost the Cup the year prior, then came back to win it. I doubt he would know that without someone putting the bug in his ear.

Even then, calling that greatest comeback in all of sports is even ridiculous for Trump's usual "everything I talk about is the best" speaking technique.

His old man was a pretty good player in his own right.

It's a reach, sure. But the Panthers' comeback from the disappointment of the year prior was still pretty remarkable. Their margin for error was nil, and they won.

Keith was the prototypical power forward. I loved it when he went to the Blues towards the end of his career.

Can you explain the “greatest comeback ever” that the panthers had?
Pretty obvious Trump got confused and thought the panthers were down 3-0….
