Should have went to practice about his money.. Don't feel bad for idiots that make millions and blow it. Deal with it.

Do you even read? He said that to say he was one of the best little men was unfair because he was one of the best PGs and the best scoring PG. His point is that saying he was one of the best little men is stupid because he's better than that category suggests.

Yeah, I can't feel bad for a guy who earned $150 million and is now broke.

He has a 30+ million dollar trust. Hopefully he will heal mentally and live until then.

I know he got old but still don't know why he just became irrelevant in the game. You would think he could take a Billups career where you drive and dish. I guess it wasn't in is game and could not adapt.

So we're suppossed to feel sympathy for a guy who partied, fricked, gambled, shopped, and drank his way through $150Mil of Salary and nearly another $100Mil in endorsements all before age 40?

I seem to remember a story from a teammate who rented or bought AI's house. AI left garbage bags of cash in the house. The teammate tried to return the money and AI was like "don't worry about it.

Yeah, no sympathy here. I do not understand why guys like this don't take 25% of their earnings and put it away, and live on the rest.
What makes them think the massive paydays will never end?

If it was just money and gambling I'd laugh at him. But honestly I feel a little bad for the guy. He seems sincerely depressed. His wife of 20 years is leaving him now that he's out of money. People have probably been too busy using him to try to help him. It's his own fault, still sad.

Every high profile pro athlete has not only an agent, but financial advisers as well. It's always amusing to me that when a player does hit rock bottom, the agent is not only nowhere around, but more than likely bailed out on him yrs ago when his commission money bottomed out. The agent is all over the place when courting the player & during the initial signing...and then he disappears, with a bucket full of money. But, bottom line, the pro player is an adult & responsible for his life's choices. If he in fact left bags full of cash in his former home & now can not afford a cheeseburger, that is his problem & I sure as hell don't feel sorry for him. And least it be forgotten, he was a semi POS in highschool & while at Georgetown.
