The Eagles got caught too. What will be their punishment? Does everybody Tamper? Sure. Does everybody get caught? Nope. Eagles and Falcons did, so they got to eat the punishment

NFL too lazy to actually do investigations unless someone fricks up like Cousins did. Guess the NFL and NCAA are alike

With the draft around the corner, the NFL is probably deciding what picks to take away.

Cousins is going to make a lot of people on here look really stupid. But that's par for the course for this place.

The NFL, like the NCAA, almost assuredly knows that tampering is rampant. Thus, it would be incredibly expensive and time consuming to constantly investigate it. Teams would find ways to get around it, so they would be constantly investigating. But when a team/player is dumb (or really careless) enough to reveal evidence of it openly the league over-punishes them with the goal being that the extreme punishments serves as a deterrent to everyone else.

Basically they are signaling to the league: "We know it is happening. We know that you are going to do it no matter how much we try to prevent you from doing so. But just know we are going to hammer you if we catch you doing it." The hope is that the risk of penalty will be enough limit the tampering

Say whatever, but most people here don't know football, and that has shown time and again.

We'll revisit this in December.

The NCAA is at a disadvantage. They usually have to wait for someone involved with cheating to get involved in a lawsuit. That's what got Michigan Hoops, Miami Football, USC Football, and LSU Hoops in trouble
