This is just another term for bias, bullshite, politics, and corruption. It opens the door for teams to get screwed like Florida State did this year.

This could just as easily happen to LSU in future years if the committee has some schools like Alabama or Texas who they want to put in the playoff. It’s wrong and needs to go away.

More likely will help LSU and has in the past.
Fair or not FSU doesn’t belong in the top 10 without Travis and a functional offense anymore than LSU without a defense.

If one person’s eyes says one thing, but another set of eyes says the opposite, which one is a true?

It's very simple. If FSU wanted to be in the playoffs they should have just lost a game and changed their name to Alabama. It's their fault for going undefeated and not changing their name.

Agree 100%. The supposed CFB experts can’t even consistently pick the winning teams on weekends during the season. And the committee is not solely “college football experts”. I know Condoleeza Rice was on the committee awhile back. Don’t if she still is

The entire gambling industry is based on people being horrible at the eye test.

Welcome to "Woke World", where opinions and feelings mean more than facts and results. How Many games has FSU lost with no "functional offense"? How many games has Alabama LOST with their offense? How many people changed their OPINION about Alabama after they needed one miracle (I don't consider Koy Moore fumbling also a miracle) to defeat Auburn? How many of these same people reversed their OPINION after the SECCG?

I really wish that a legit boycott were to be organized to not watch the Rose Bowl. That’s the only way to show your disapproval. Tank the ratings.

I don’t plan on watching a game with Alabama playing in it.

well yeah. money is what cfb is all about. SEC/Bama have more money/influence than ACC/FSU. think refs are as bad as they seem to be? I guarantee there's gambling involved with big $ influencing officiating. "eye test" is a joke

Remember when the national championship was simply awarded based on the eye test?

see all of the Nebraska, OU, Notre Dame titles before the BCS

Their defense is good enough to keep them in every game, and they went 13-0 in a Power 5 conference that went 6-4 against the SEC.

They absolutely deserved to make the CFP, and what was done to them is criminal. This year’s CFP selection is a good example of everything that’s wrong with college football.

It's not much of an "eye test" when you had them closed for the Alabama-UCF and Alabama-Auburn games.

They just beat the 14th ranked team. Let’s not act like a team ranked 8-12 is world beaters. A solid defense can absolutely beat any of those teams. LSU won like that for years.

I fail to see where it matters period. People keep throwing that around like it’s some pivotal piece to the argument. What the frick does it matter who’s starting?

Right, like in 2011 when ESPN kept using the “eye test” to describe Bama in getting a rematch… oh wait, that helped an undeserving Bama team.

A bullshite move by college football that sure as shite didn’t help LSU.

Right, kind of like Ohio St in 2014 when Braxton Miller got hurt. Then JT Barrett got hurt.

Oh wait, they won the whole thing? Imagine if the committee used that bullshite excuse that year.

Florida st probably wouldn’t win, but they deserved the opportunity based on what they did the whole season. Everyone arguing otherwise is a disingenuous a-hole.

What happened to FSU would not happen to LSU. If we won the SEC championship with Collins, Nuss coming in for the playoffs, because HD was injured the last 2 games, there is no way they would leave us out if we were undefeated.

I don’t think LSU has to worry about that. I just can’t imagine that happening to an SEC team especially LSU Bama UGA
