Fair or not FSU doesn’t belong in the top 10 without Travis

Committee should have played their hand and dropped them when he got hurt. Dropping them after the conference championship just looks bad. Even Texas jumped them. Once that happened, it was over.

I remember the year the “eye test” was born…That year a team that did not win its division and did not qualify to play in its championship game was gifted a spot in the national championship game. The methodology always seems to resurface when it is advantageous to the Gumps.

The committee felt compelled to have an SEC team included. Hell, that's probably the reason UGA was #1, it sure wasn't how they played for half the season.

When Bama beat them, Bama got the SEC's unofficial auto-bid. But because Texas beat them decisively in Tuscaloosa, they then HAD to take Texas, too. Otherwise the favoritism would be too obvious.
So, that meant somebody had to go. Wouldn't be Michigan, they were untouchable. Obvious, from the way the cheating scandals were handled. Big 10 was all-in, and they'd have broken the arrangement somehow.
Washington or Fla State...
Washington has the feel-good "last hurrah for the Pac 12" storyline. Fla State lost their starting QB- hey, that's the ticket. That's why 2 one-loss teams are better than them, after having not been all season long.

I really wish that a legit boycott were to be organized to not watch the Rose Bowl. That’s the only way to show your disapproval. Tank the ratings.

I don’t plan on watching a game with Alabama playing in it.

A boycott is what's needed, but not a boycott of the championship game. It will take a two year massive boycott of college football, period. But even that won't work because there are too many selfish assholes in this country that won't make the sacrifice, and the guys controlling everything know this. So all you have is your ability to bitch, and only on platforms like this.

I hate bama just like the rest of us. Bama won the SEC championship and beat the number one team in the country. The needed to get in.
Its sucks for the kids at fla st. But without Travis they re not a top 4 team. Do they deserve to be in absolutely

or, depending on how you look at it, they beat the #6 team in the country. which is why all of the committee and their rankings are horse shite

thus all mighty all knowing committee had Georgia as the best team in the nation…but then on the field they had to actually prove it and lost. so they weren’t the best team.

now we have to trust this same committees new Top 4?

the mix and mash between eye test and on field results just goes against everything sports should be

Absolutely everyone picked Oregon to win even with the benefit of watching the first game.

And everybody still got it wrong.

This is just another term for bias, bullshite, politics, and corruption. It opens the door for teams to get screwed like Florida State did this year.

This could just as easily happen to LSU in future years if the committee has some schools like Alabama or Texas who they want to put in the playoff. It’s wrong and needs to go away.

Maybe you heard about this thing that is coming next season. It's called a 12-team Playoff. In the meantime maybe you should shelve all this fake rage for the committee when it's all about BAMA.

I know, I know, people hate what they fear. Fear on.

Remember when the national championship was simply awarded based on the eye test?

I guess most people around here are too young to remember back when The Eye Test picked the National Champion every year for nearly 100 years.

With one major flaw. The number 1 ranked teams hardly ever got to actually play the number 2 ranked teams on the field.

That's like walking through the stalls of Churchill Downs and hand picking the next Kentucky Derby Winner.
