Lane didn’t think Chambliss would be eligible.
As good as he is, it’s unfortunate anything Ole Miss does this year will have the ineligible * beside it.
I was all for Indiana winning last year but then I found out their roster averaged 23.4 years old. The number of 6th and 7th year players they had was insane. In contrast, the average age of Michigan’s 2023 title winning team was 20.3.
Chambliss is older than the average age of the oldest team to win the Natty.

The playoffs will be fun with a bunch of story lines. Why Sankey stood in the way of a 24 team playoff is comical at this point. The SEC would get 8 teams instead of the 3 or 4 they’ll get this year. I hope both teams run the table so we can see another game.
