Which one specifically? No team wants to punt the ball back to the other team if they can run the ball and pick up a first down to end it.

The third down with 3:00 left where they passed they should have run.

Passing on 3rd and goal up 6 with 230 to go. A fg makes it 2 possession. Got to run to make Texas use that 2nd timeout.

Honestly if the rb doesn’t get hurt it’s not bad. Talk about bad luck lol

That’s why you take a knee, you completely remove these scenarios.

the RB had been hurt half the game. Why are you playing him when all you need to do is kneel it? Poor coaching.

You could tell this game was going to come down to the wire midway through the 3rd quarter. Penix was red hot…then they inexplicably kept running the ball and settling for FGs.

Washington should have easily had 40+ points with the way Penix was playing and they wasted it time and time again. Just really awful feel for the game by the coaching staff. They are VERY lucky they don’t have to answer to their players and everyone else for an epic meltdown

I mean you kneel and don’t get the first down. At least with the run you could

I don't get why they all got set with 25 seconds to burn off the clock on the punt. It was going to run right?

That's not how decision making works - deciding if it was good or bad based on the outcome.

Definitely with 55 seconds and the other team having no timeouts

Hell even a blocked punt won’t lose the game if you run it down to 15 seconds

That was CRAZY that they didn’t take a knee…. Mario Cristobal crazy

I think he’s a great coach, but he lost me in the 4th quarter…. AWFUL game management

The ref said the clock would start at the snap, which I still don't understand, and I wish McDonough and McElroy would've addressed it further.

I thought for sure the clock should run when the ref signals ready for play. If that's not the rule, then the NCAA needs to revisit the spirit of it because the winning team shouldn't be punished for having an injury.

I get it… there would have been 10-15 seconds…but still…. You absolutely knee it there after the QB meanders around for a second

That was beyond dumb in the moment to run a play

And that wasn’t the first game management blunder in the 4th quarter
