Buffalo started free agency off with Tyrod Taylor as their QB and 2 first round picks (12th and 22nd) and 2 second round picks (53rd and 56th). They traded Tyrod Taylor to Cleveland for a 3rd round pick, assuming they could land a big free agent QB? Now its looking like they are not going to land any big time QB and need to draft a QB. There sits the Cleveland Browns at #4 who are willing to trade out. Rumors are floating that the Browns are going to trade the #4 pick to Buffalo for the 12th, 22nd and 56th pick. If that happens, the Cleveland Browns would have pulled off one of the all time thefts. Think about this...

Browns receive from Buffalo:

QB Tyrod Taylor, 12th, 22nd and 56th pick

Buffalo recives from Cleveland:

4th pick and 3rd round pick

The Cleveland Browns would have the 1st, 12th, 22nd, 32nd, 35th, 56th and 64th picks in the first 2 rounds!!! Please god let this happen!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they're still the Browns.

They'll find a way to frick this up.

I still don't understand the trade for Tyrod Taylor. Hue wanted AJ McCarron, McCarron wanted to play for Hue, so you go and trade for Taylor? Why? I'm no McCarron fan but I'd go with him over Tyrod Taylor.

That'd be a ridiculous haul of picks if it played out like you're saying.

Possibly, but that still doesn't diminish the fact that it could end up being an amazing trade. Just admit it

Exactly what has McCarron done at Cincy that justifies all this interest in him?

Really...maybe its because the Browns GM knew that the Buffalo GM was going to loose in FA and knew that he would need a QB...thus trading the 4th pick for the 12th, 22nd and 56th???? If this happens, the Browns GM would be a genius for pulling it off.

He played under Hue as OC. The Browns tried to trade for him last year, Jackson himself wanted the trade to happen. I'm not saying he's great but again, I'm taking him over Tyrod Taylor.

Also, the Browns could trade back to 12th and still get a QB they like in either Mayfield, Allen or Jackson.

So you are telling me, that you are willing to take AJ over Tyrod and the possibility of acquiring the 12th, 22nd and 56th picks of the draft???? Holy smokes!!!

I completely agree, I'd draft a QB as well. My guess is they go QB/Barkley w/ #1 and #4 unless they trade down.

There's no way you're getting an "almost-mid" 1st round pick + a 2nd round pick just to move up 8 spots. Would maybe cost a late 3rd or 4th, but no way that 2nd round pick would come with that deal.

No. McCarron would have been fine for a test run in the 2nd half of the last season, but they can't go in with him as their starter. He's an unknown quantity no matter what. Taylor is a known quantity. Contrary to the great coaches on here, the Browns are actually trying to win and develop. McCarron would be okay as a backup option, but he's not worth even trading a pick right now.

Isn't it?

2017: Cheifs move up 17 slots in R1 in exchange for a late 3rd and a mid/late 1 in the following year.

vs proposed 8 slot move for a similar late first...but then an early 2?

The last time the Browns had a successful draft, Kevin Costner was the GM.
