While I think FSU would have been steamrolled by any of the teams that are in, if I was a voter, I would have to take extreme notice of the squeak by wins that Bama had, and most especially, the incredibly lucky, referee eye closing, last play. 4th and 31 and they had to score or they are out. That play was so like LSU dbs this year, I could only shake my head at Allbarn for letting Bama probably win the natty with that one impossibly insanely lucky last play. For that alone, I would not have voted for Ga who lost because they had a FG bounce off the crossbar...another very lucky bama outcome. Ga is the best team in America and they aren't even playing. This is a screwed up year....bring on the 8 or 12 team playoffs.

They are so full of shite. Here is what happened in the committee: OK, we have to put Alabama in. Oh, but Texas beat Alabama. We have to put Texas in. OK, so what criteria can we use to exclude one of the other three? Michigan cheated, but there was no adjudication of that, so probably not. Washington didn't do anything wrong and their star QB is still playing. Wait, check out this part where we say we will take injuries into consideration. FSU-5th.
This is EXACTLY what happened.

And it's not just because it's Bama, it's because it's SEC Bama.

If you have to take a 1 loss team, and the SEC Champ is one of those 1 loss teams, you HAVE to take them. Because everyone who follows college football knows the SEC team is probably going to win, like they have been for the past couple of decades.
But because Texas came in and stomped Bama on their home field, you had to take them too.

Georgia is arguably the 2nd best team in the country. them not being in means not "the best 4"

Would it not seem a partially redeeming scenario (if any is rightly due) to the committee’s leaving out FSU if Saturday afternoon December 30th Georgia soundly thrashes FSU and Monday afternoon January 1st after we take Wisconsin to the woodshed Alabama beats Michigan?

who would win head to head? Bama vs FSU with their backup qb?
You're speculating and that's not how it's supposed to work.

As for the four best teams... I welcome anyone to make a solid argument that puts Georgia out of the top four, much less at #6 where they are ranked.

Georgia SOS is 37th. Bama beat them, and their Strength of Schedule is 5th. Washington is undefeated with SOS at 9th. Texas beat Bama and their SOS is 13th. FSU SOS is 55th. frick your undefeated record vs those other teams if you are edging out victories against the 55th best schedule.

There is alot of SEC fatigue and Bama hate driving these meltdowns. I hate Bama, but the SEC is getting into the playoffs.

If Georgia got a stop and scored a late TD to beat Alabama by 4 everyone would still think they could beat FSU with their backup QB. Does that mean they still would have been in with two losses?

Putting Bama into the playoff reeks of entitlement .. and it’s the absolute laziest choice the committee could have made .. LAZY, pure and simple .. hope their trashy fanbase likes being the beneficiary of two things most of them seem to hate: laziness and entitlement .

Georgia the last two years were elite on defense.

They were also pretty damn good on offense. They were #2 in the SEC in total offense both this year and last year as well as #2 in both years in scoring offense.

TV viewers

Look at how we view Iowa even though they won like 10 games

You need to go in the other thread and see Rizer's response. FSU doesn't have the resume of Bama or Texas. The cumulative win-loss records of their opponents, the quality of the CCG wins, and the quality of the CCG opponents says all that needs to be said.

Well the barney, time out, participation trophy, entitlement generation that is grown now hates facts and logic. They care aboutost deserving. To them just showing up for work deserves an award. Never mind that fsu played one acc team all year that didn't have 4 losses. The one team they played that didn't have 4 or more losses was acc #2 Louisville that sec#8 team Kentucky beat. That's pretty bad. And you don't have the qb thst is the reason fr you being undefeated? Yeah, they are devoid of logic and reason.

Michigan went undefeated beating Ohio State, Penn St, and Iowa. FSU doesn't have that resume no matter how hard anybody tries to say otherwise.

I agree about fsu.
However, Michigan shouldn't have been in either.

Penn st only beat one ranked team, Iowa.
Iowa had zero ranked wins.
Osu also had three ranked wins
Iowa who beat zero ranked teams
Penn st who beat Iowa
Notre dame who has zero ranked wins.
Michigan will get exposed by bama

Honestly it’s extremely unfair to the other 100 plus kids on that roster who busted their arse all summer and during the season to get shut out. Booger basically said the same thing yesterday. Just insanity, but that’s the type of world we live in. Nothing shocks me anymore.

Nick Saban 2018 after the SECCG: "UGA is one of the 4 best teams in the country. But I can't vote them top 4 because they didn't deserve it. It isn't fair"

I specifically said if LSU and Bama swapped places meaning exact same scenarios. Oh also, there is no great conspiracy by the SEC to hurt LSU and favor Bama .

Louisville isn't on Iowa's level.

The committee you keep defending believes Louisville is better than Iowa, and has for weeks.

Penn State and Iowa also fired their OCs because they were so inept offensively. McCarthy only had to throw for like 200 yds combined over both games. Such impressive wins for Michigan.

It was clear from the Michigan players reaction when Alabama was announced as their opponent, that they feel Alabama is better than FSU. However record trumps feelings. Facts don't care about your feelings. And if you think your feelings matter, then you must FEEL that Alabama was mediocre, if not bad, against UCF and Auburn. And were it not that we had a spy who was left out in the cold by our DC against Alabama, that game would have been different. Some people must have missed where Alabama lost at home by double digits (that's not a feeling; that's a fact).
