I'm glad he says F off to everyone, more athletes should do that. Screw pandering to folks because of how the media will treat and focus on you, screw the media. Do what you want, to be fair, he's not really doing much different than a lot of other guys, we're all just more interested in seeing that he's doing it.

At the end of the day, it's all irrelevant, all that matters is whether he can play. That's why he should just keep doing whatever he wants, within reason obviously, but what he's doing now, I see no issues with it.

If I was the Browns, then I might want him to chill a little. He is probably not exactly living the lifestyle the coaching staff and organization wants to see. It will be a real problem if it has a negative effect in the locker room and on the field, and that looks like it could be a real possibility.

ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi stated Friday that he's never seen Manziel-like behavior from a Browns player. Grossi has covered the Browns for 30 years.

That's a good thing. That team and city needs a kick in the arse and JFF is the right guy to do it.

If my boss tells me to tone it down and he is paying me millions of dollars, I am toning it down.

Obviously its a distraction to the team if he's not focusing on what his job is.

Remember the distractions TO and ochocinco were to their locker rooms? Manziel is that to the browns already and he hasn't taken one snap.

If he survives. he can do what he wants?? Is that what you are trying to say? I like the kid and he is getting all the attention he can get. Milking the cow so-to-speak. I just think he will not be able to pull off all those great moves in college.

I don't think he cares about his image. People still like him for some reason and he knows that.

Yea, people like him like they like watching a trainwreck.

Everyone is so interested because they want to see this guy fail. He is walking a very fine line right now.

Its to his employers who have a public image to uphold. They write his paychecks, they can tell him what to do... if he doesn't then they can fine or cut his arse.
If he doesn't want his "fun" to be blasted everywhere then quit taking dumbass photos of yourself and tweeting them all over the world.
He is employed by a damn near billion dollar company... he if they say curb it, you curb it.
He'll liable to get his arse lit up if he doesn't tone it down a bit by a vet... Not all people want to be associated with the shite like that.

My point went over your head. What you are talking about are society's "rules". Companies don't like negative press. The media creates the negative news.

Why do you care what an athlete's off the field persona is? Do you get off by living vicariously through famous people? Is your own life that boring?

I like athletes that make the sport I watch on Sunday afternoons entertaining. JFF being a punk does not enhance that experience.

I can't wait for him to get crushed and be forced to sell shoes like Al Bundy.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to here a story about how his teammates don't block for him for a play or two just make sure he gets his bell rung to knock him off the pedestal he put himself on

and that 1 act would immediately be about 50 times worse than anything Manziel has done.

from the Brown's perspective, I'd agree.

like I mentioned, it'll come down to how good he is. Lots gets forgiven when you're an elite player.

Obviously not literally.

But yes, if he's a top 3 QB in the league, you net he can still party and post these pics on Instagram, and tell the Browns "too bad, cut me if you want". And the Browns won't because he'll have all the leverage.

It also doesn't ruin that experience, it is in fact completely irrelevant to that experience.

You said if he was a top three qb in the league.

I wonder where you ever thought he would even sniff this.
