Do you have examples of QBs getting hit a lot and that’s why they didn’t last long?

I’ll return to the example of David Carr. He was sacked more than anyone ever his first 5 years with the Texans and he started 16-12-16-16-16 games in 5 years.

Wilson gets sacked a lot as well

The 30th ranking is why it was a joke that the LSU offensive line won the 2019 Joe Moore Award. That line was bad. Burrow and CEH overcame it.

I'm sure they'll hit the line in the draft this go around.

Weird. 3 of those 5 guys started as rookies in the NFL the very next year in 2020. (Cushenberry, Lewis, and Charles before he got hurt)

I'm close to putting together a top qb list thread with stats this year.

Oh it's gonna be good.

Was this supposed to prove that wrong in some way? Them rating out the same level as the Jets doesn’t make the argument you think it does

Well. He said he thought they were worst in the league. They are 15th so yea it proves his point.

Colts with Luck

Are you suggesting there is no correlation with more QB pressure and QB injuries?

He could still be playing if he wanted to and wasn’t sacked a freakish amount like Carr his rookie and 3rd year and also what about Wilson? Luck was sacked 40 times twice his last year only 18 times (played 16 games) The least Wilson was sacked in a year is 33 and he’s been sacked over 40 7 times and 50 once. Try again.

I’m saying I’m unaware of any such correlation being proven. or any link to having a good OL and QBs getting hurt. It’s something people say that sounds like it would be true, but no proof is ever offered just name calling and some example of QB that got hurt which in and of it self proves nothing.

An example of what I mean is Burrows injury last year. Everyone says their OL sucks, QB gets hurt, see OL is going to get him killed, makes sense right? Well Bress got hurt last year and the Saints line was considered one of the better ones. Not a knee you say, what about Brady? Was the 2008 NE OL “shitty” a year after going undefeated? And then there’s Teddy Bridgewater he tore his knee in practice (insert Alan Iverson voice). The point is injuries happen. If there is a correlation between QB injuries and sacks and out OL quality it should be easy to show

Yeah I understand that he’s built the straw man to beat up on. I’m asking if he really thinks that straw man evidence actually means anything

I can also recall all of the LSU posters on the more sports board last year talking about how they needed to get Joe some more pass protection.

Pretty much the whole season

and then boom he gets hurt.

Pretty funny how the narrative switches all of a sudden.

Is Joe Burrow the most disrespected number one overall pick of all time?

It’s almost like individual LSU fans can have different opinions

PFF Final 2021 OL Rankings - Bengals not nearly as bad as this board wants you to believe

PFF ranks them as the 3rd worst o-line of the 14 playoff teams.

I think the point is the more hits you take, the more likely a player is going to eventually have one of them result in an injury.

Can’t too much stock into this stat/analysis… with the Saints being 7th .. I watched every pass play on offense this year … seems like we lost 80% of the time pass blocking
