The beat goes on for MLB

Giancarlo Stanton will soon be a Yankee.
We’ll that’s a shocker. I thought for sure when the Marlins signed Stanton to that record contract that he would have lead the Marlins to a dozen playoff births, consistent World Series appearance, and given the city of Miami several championship parades.
Darn the luck!
As always, the rich get richer in MLB.
That’s how that sad, pathetic, worthless league works.
The NFL sure has its share of problems but at least all teams have the same means in which to compete.
Here are the top ten highest paid players in the NFL for this season:
1. Derek Carr – Oakland Raiders
2. Andrew Luck – Indianapolis Colts
3. Carson Palmer – Arizona Cardinals
4. Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints
5. Kirk Cousins – Washington Redskins
6. Joe Flacco – Baltimore Ravens
7. Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers
8. Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks
9. Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers
10. Eli Manning – New York Giants
Now, let’s take a look at the highest paid players in MLB:
1. Clayton Kershaw – LA Dodgers
2. David Price – Boston Red Sox
3. Miguel Cabrera – Detroit Tigers
4. Justin Verlander – Detroit Tigers
5. Felix Hernandez – Seattle Mariners
6. Albert Pujols - LA Angels
7. C. C. Sabathia – NY Yankees
8. Robinson Cano – Seattle Mariners
9. Zack Grienke – Arizona Diamondbacks
10. Joe Mauer – Minnesota Twins
Notice how the largest paid NFL player is from the 45th largest city in the US compared to MLB which is #2. The only true large market team with a player in the NFL list is the Giants at #10. Meanwhile, the only small market on the MLB list is the Twins at #10.
The saddest thing about MLB is that it will never change.
The NFL will continue to show parity among the talent and MLB will continue to be a joke.

With a $300 mil contract how is Stanton not top 10?

Dude, the Yankees haven't won in a long time.
The Royals just won a few years ago and their payroll was #18 in the league.
Comparing the MLB to other leagues is comparing apples to oranges.

Why do you hate capitalism?

The fact that you still have Verlander as a Tiger is more than enough proof for me that your opinion is trash.

The NFL is the worst, most stale product out of any of the professional sports. Couple that with a shitload of America hating, primmadonnas who are by far the most entitled pieces of shits and by far the most hated man in sports as their commissioner, you get what the NFL is today...a horrible product.

Yet only 3 of these teams with the highest paid players have winning records. You think that is a coincidence?

Wait what? The Royals won the World Series in 2015. The Cubs won the World Series in 2016. The Astros won the World Series in 2017. You don't think there is parity? You're a fricking moron.

Oakland is in a large market. The fan base potential does not end at arbitrary city limit boundaries. Use metro figures when you compare markets for a more fair comparison.

This is not an attack against capitalism.
Pepsi doesn't need Coke.
Unlike the Yankees that need another team to play against.

If you think the NFL is communist then so must be MLB as they both have revenue sharing.

Well, for one your model is hard to compare.
all of the NFL players listed is a QB, and a team only needs one. Therefore the top 10 will be from 10 different teams.
The MLB players are of varying positions from pitchers to catchers to infielders.

What point are you trying to make in your OP? Are you just upset that the Yankees got another star?
