Not in the least bit. Team still needs help at 3rd and he just witnessed 2 massive deals to better the Braves occur right after he left.
I think people would completely get it and accept it.
You know that and I know that, but ESPN and other national outlets like to embellish and create drama without doing much legwork when it comes to deep research. On the face of this scenario, it looks exactly like the Favre situation from a player standpoint. Only difference is that the Braves would want Chipper back because we don't have an "Aaron Rodgers" waiting in the wings at third.

So would he have another farewell tour from every stadium? Would he then give back previous gifts for newer and better ones?

Chipper should come back, he can still play. Braves should sign Rolen as well that way when Chipper misses 60 games they have someone to play 3B

And that narrative right there is what completely changes the narrative of the story.

He got call from Bobby Cox this AM pitching idea
That's fricking genius on the Braves part to use Bobby as the pitchman.

Not completely, he would still be portrayed as an old "past his prime" player that can't make up his mind.

Looks like it will happen imo.

This will taint his legacy IMO.
Unless Bobby comes back and moves Fredi down.

Who is @Bravescave and why does this reliable source only have 5 tweets?

Only way we could talk him into one more year is with the understanding that he wouldn't travel with the team. He seems pretty content with being retired.

Braves sign Chipper they could bring in a player like Figgins as a super utility who can play third a few days a week to give Chipper a day off

Honestly I'm perfectly fine with giving Francisco and Chris Johnson a shot, it's not like they are bums

Already have two other 3b. Don't need another one.

How long have you been in the ATL thread? How do you not know what Braves Cave is?
Posted on 1/24/13 at 9:39 pm to WicKed WayZ
Johnson is a great platoon player vs RH pitching with .819 OPS
