These guys are way further along in their careers, though.

Craig didn't crack the majors until he was 25 and wasn't a regular until 27. Encarnacion has only had one great year. Konerko is a fringe HoF candidate.

Freddie is pacing pretty well for a kid who is 21/22 years old.

that really wasnt the point, just guys id take ahead of Freeman

Craig has been blocked but has always hit.

I'm just speaking in terms of overall value, I guess.

Freeman commands a lot of value, because he is so young, so cheap and under control for a long time.

I think this is something a lot of people forget when talking about him and Heyward. They were really, really young when they were called up and put in the starting lineup. Most guys are 22 or 23 as rookies, not 3rd or 4th year players.
