So are the guys who insisted a few weeks ago that Schafer was one of the guys that just had to go because his FAV and TQS and BKN or whatever the hell advanced bullshite proved he's only a AAAA player still standing by their story?

I'm with you on your disdain for hardcore SABRnerds, but now isn't really the best time to make this argument. He beat a ball into the ground and it happened to bounce over DeRosa's head.

When all is said and done, will Gattis go down as the greatest Braves player of all time?

Clearly Hank is going down.

yea because 2 months and 78 ABs is more indicative of a players talent than 3 years and 782 ABs

I long for Evan Gattis to railroad the shite out of someone at the plate. Well, kind of. I'm really not evil enough to wish that sort of pain on anyone. But the spectacle may be worth a human sacrifice...

getting a hit with RISP?
Not having Uggla, Juan, and BJ at the end of the lineup paying dividends already.

"The Braves believe he can pitch in the late innings, and could even pitch the seventh and eighth innings on some nights to get them to Kimbrel."
Why is it that if you pitch out of the bullpen you are limited to 1 inning? If you are a starter and you move to the bullpen does it really make sense to take a 6-7 inning guy and make him a 1 inning guy?
Somewhere back in the 90's when 5 man rotations and 100 pitch counts became mandatory baseball logic failed

Except that I was saying weeks ago that the first, easiest solution was moving one of the 3rd basemen.
How you Advanced-Stat'ers who wanted to send Gattis to AAA laughed at my suggestion!
