Then he's not available to pinch hit. If he has to catch he's already in the game.

because McCann was hurt and we didn't know Gattis was going to do anything
We thought Laird would start the season with fricking Matt Pagnozzi backing up

That's great value for a solid backup catcher. No one expected Gattis to back up at catcher this year, and the Braves wouldn't have wanted that regardless.
We could pay Corky Miller league minimum to catch every fifth day if you wanted. Backup catcher isn't really a premium position. Laird is perfect for the role.

I would rather have him than Laird. pretty much no difference stat wise and he'd be cheap

Like I said, Gattis. He comes in from LF. Then you insert one of our OF who's on the bench.

Going to the game tonight, got seats in the outfield near left field.

Pagnozzi is far worse than Laird. Not sure if you watched him in ST, but he looked like a pitcher at the plate vs. big league pitching.

Laird is not terrible. In fact, I think he's one of the better backup catchers in baseball. We've just been spoiled by David Ross and now, Gattis.

Why is this 4 game series split between TOR and ATL?

Braves Stacked. Jays fricked.

everyone in the majors is doing it this week
it's "natural rivals"...Braves/Blue Jays/Red Sox/Phillies all don't have interleague natural rivals so we randomly got teamed up
