What are the odds he really doesn’t have “back spasms” and they are saving him for tomorrow?
Absolutely certain.

IDGAF. Kenny Powers is going to get us over the hump.

Downvote away all but I’m ready for this season to be put out of its misery. Even with a win this team is DOA.

Ain’t no damn way they’re saving Sale for a game vs Padres.

He’s done unless we somehow make it to NLDS
Back spasms arent that big of a deal if there is no injury. Day to day.

Sounds like it would likely be Ian Anderson in game 1.

Alonso and Alvarez (at 2B???) in the Mets lineup, no Lindor.

Would be some shite if baby Acuna ends our season.

I don’t Snit made any bad decisions in Game 1. Hard to predict your top guys melting down like that.

not really. we have lost plenty heartbreakers and choked mightily but do not act like we have never won anything. divisions, pennants, and world series in 3 different cities.

They will choke game two as well, and if not, they will go 0-2 in the playoffs.

maybe so but you don't know wtf will happen. did you know we would go 2-0 against the reds in the WC in 2020? or 3-0 against marlins in NLDS? or win it all the following year?

it has been a shite finish and if we can ever stay healthy we have a great shot next year. we need to stay healthy. pitch rotation should be strong with sale, strider, schwelly and lopez. morton can go and i expect fried gone also as much as i like fried.

if we can ever get ian anderson back from minors and to 2021 levels we will have a damn good staff. maybe arse comes through also and that pitcher from minors Waldrep if they make him a starter or reliever. dunno.

I actually agree. Lee or Hernandez instead of Johnson in the 9th would have been my preference. The way the 8th was handled was correct imo.

That's how I felt before knowing Sale was scratched. Now I feel like we could actually have a good chance against the Padres with Sale, Fried, and Lopez going.

If Sale was scratched from a start today, the biggest of our season, I find it hard to believe it's minor enough to where he would be ready to pitch in a postseason setting three days later.
