That's my issue, we had already used Pache's option for this year, so where was the harm in calling him up after we clinched just to get him some run before we potentially use him in a crucial postseason situation.

I assume because of the prorated service time he would have accrued due to the COVID rules it would have necessitated he stay down for several more weeks/possibly a month+ next year to recoup the full service time he would have lost.
I don’t think defense and base running are much different at the alternate site than an empty stadium but I would have liked to have seen him for an extended stretch while Acuña was hurt. Was obvious that Inciarte was never going to be a help to us on the postseason roster. If Pache had established himself a little bit with the bat we could have stuck him in CF every day even in to the playoffs which would have really improved us defensively and not hurt us much offensively if at all since Markakis has been abysmal as well.

At this point, I think you'd literally have to kill Snitker to keep Markakis out of a playoff lineup even though he has been atrocious lately and should not be starting.

Maybe our luck will change without me in the park for this series.
Always go to the home games but I was in LA already for something else two years ago and went to the games and decided to make the weekend trip to STL for games 3 and 4 last year.
Can’t do any worse without me there.
