Okay, so then your comment made no sense.

There are multiple variations of an unofficial stat that is relatively useless.

It would make baseball historians roll over in their graves. Stats still don't mean jack shite like that.

Your buddy last night when I told him Lohse vs Maholm was a terrible matchup for the Braves laughed and posted Maholm's home statistics. I told him it didn't mean shite and Lohse is double the pitcher.

CG SHO 2 hitter.

No, my comment was what I predicted was going on in your head.

You not understanding how something works does not mean that it is useless. That is rather ignorant.

As a fan of the world's police, I have to call you out on saying Lohse is near elite. Unless there are like 40 elite pitchers in baseball, that is not true

Nothing I said had anything to do with not understanding how something works though...that's where you lost me with the comment. I said there are multiple variations and calculations of WAR, which there are.

Well he was last year, and he's had another good year this year. He was 16-3 with a 2.86 ERA and a game from the World Series as the ace of the Cards.

He goes to a hitters ballpark on an awful team, misses all of spring training, and still boasts a 3.35 ERA. He would replicate last years near elite season if he was in STL again this year, or any other decent team IMO.

He's been pretty damn near elite the last few seasons but it's whatever, opinions are opinions.

Gomez would beat BMac's arse

Highly doubt that, and he definitely would get his arse whipped by Freeman 1 on 1.

Gomez seriously looked like a massive pussy staring at a pitcher because he swung and missed and had a hissy fit. Then had to show off like an absolute idiot because he teed off and caught one? Dude is the biggest pussy I have seen in baseball in quite some time. This issue was totally different than the Marlins one, Chris Johnson was the massive pussy there over-reacting.. but there was no need for Gomez acting this way. And if he was such a badass he'd of down something in the meeting.

Oh I forgot he pitched for the Cardinals who were good so he's at the worst near elite.

Off the top of my head, there's at least 25 guys in the NL I'd take over him. Probably close to 35 if I had to guess.

It shouldn't have escalated the way it did, just throw at his head next time he's up. The way it's suppose to work.

Here's a Maholm/Gomez history

LINK

Gomez acted like an arse. There just has to be a better way to handle him if you're the Braves. They let Gomez get to them and lost Freeman because of it.

I wish Gomez would have just ran around the bases and not said a word. I would have loved to see the next AB.

He would have gotten plunked. Zero question. He will get hit next year if Maholm faces him.

San Fran defeats the Dodgers. Magic number over them is now 2.

Sorry y'all about that Javy Lopez link, it was a picture of a T-Rex with the caption "we've clocked Javy at 32 mph".

Anyway, Gomez was an arse. Liked seeing Freeman and McCann sticking up for that nonsense. Any idea what kind of hometown discount it would take to keep McCann around?

SVP destroying the Braves right now. What a pathetic, childish group of players.

I am sure you will weigh higher on SVP's point of view than this one.
