Yeah, that was the best pitching of the day. Of course, it was down the batting order.

Just gotta hope he keeps getting swing and miss on the breaking stuff because they've either fouled off or put in play all but I think one fastball in the zone today.

You guys are over analyzing his 1st outing in a while on the road a mile in the air.

The lack of fastball velo has nothing to do with the thin air and it's been a problem beyond today for him.

You gotta get someone up in the pen at this point. It does Spencer no good to try and labor through this right now.

He is going 4 and will be frustrated but will build on it as the season moves on.

At this rate, 4 innings would put him over 100 pitches, which no chance in hell AA/Walt lets that happen.

Said about Strider for the past 3 seasons. The problem has been that the frustration has been there, the building on it hasn't.

93mph parked.

He's gotten one swing and miss on his fastball today.

Oh that’s right, he has never pitched for us in the playoffs because he can’t stay on the field after being used 30 times in games that aren’t that important.

Figured your dumbass would have learned this lesson after all of the retarded shite you spewed last year about "April, May, and June baseball not mattering one bit."

Know why we haven't seen Sale in the playoffs yet? Because the Braves didn't win enough of those games that supposedly don't matter to get there.

He looks terrible, but it is his first start…..so we can give him some leeway. But you are correct that it’s been a few years since he has been dominant. He’s going to have to make the adjustments to his arsenal and find a way to be dominant again.

I don’t think his 99mph fastball is coming back……he’s going to have to be an actual pitcher. Like what happens to most pitchers who dominate with stuff early and lose stuff in their 30s

Kinda like what CJ was saying, he needs to turn his fastball into a cutter if it's going to sit 93-95mph.

That's unfortunately not a quick fix and he'll likely need a full season where he's healthy to develop that. Unfortunately, I don't believe we can send him down to Gwinnett without it being a designated rehab.

Missing chances to add on.

Phillies beat the Marlins, so a chance for Atlanta to increase the division lead.

Not sure if it's the new manager bump or if they figured something out, but they've been absolutely mashing the ball since the managerial change happened.

Leadoff triple, and three straight arse at bats. I don’t know what the frick Weiss is thinking with Azocar. He looks like a baby giraffe in the OF, and can’t keep his feet on the ground…….and shitty ABs. Would have been nice to have an actual OF prospect to have to bring up, but we don’t have any top OF prospects with any power……they are all speed/no power guys

Well, if it stays like this……he’s not going to do the rotation any good. He may need to be in the pen
