Alfonso Soriano is a waste of oxygen.

He and Mormol are the last remnants of the previous regime that must be excorcised in order to move forward.

At least Mormol used to be able to miss bats, albeit missing the strike zone just as much. Now he doesn't even have that anymore.

Haven't posted this season yet but would anyone else consider it a good idea to move B.J. Upton to leadoff permanently and Simmons to the 2 hole and Heyward to the 5 hole?

And the strikeouts today are ridiculous.

I think BJ to permanent leadoff is looking like a great idea. But I would put Simmons in the 7th or 8th spot of the order. Jason is really ideal in the 2nd spot of the order, great walk rate and good speed on top of making good righty/lefty balance.

Yeah, these strike outs are getting out of hand.

No. Sub .300 OBP leading off is not my idea of good lineup construction.

I'd think it'd be a great idea. But we need to see Simmons hit in the 2 hole first before we get too bonerfied over that idea. I've never liked Heyward at 2 anyways, its dragging him down IMO.

I agree that he's more "ideal" for the two hole with his walk rate and bc of the lefty-righty split, but I think he would get more RBI opps in the 5 hole and I think Simmons is better used for sac bunt potential in the 2 hole.

It'll happen less than 25 times this year in in opportune times with no one on base. He's one of the biggest wastes of money in MLB history.
