I don't get this confidence Braves fans/players have going forward. They beat the Dodgers in a 7 game series, and thats awesome. But The Dodgers have been clearly the better team over the past.... oh lets see.... 1,000 games or so, at least? Lets pump the brakes a bit
You don't get the confidence from the team/fans that have the most recent World Series win? Did you hit your head?

Long term trends. Would you rather be the better team over the 162 coming up? Of course. The Dodgers in all liklihood will be better than the Braves over 162. Will that necessarily matter in the playoffs? No. If the regular season didn't matter though they a) wouldn't give pennants for it and b) wouldn't play such a long season
What’s your actual point?

What actually, on paper, makes you believe that the Dodgers are going to be better in the regular season, never mind the fact that the regular season doesn't win you a World Series? They added Freeman, but lost Seager. We lost Freddie but added Olson. We won the World series without Ronald Acuna and Marcell Ozuna, and they are both coming back. They will now have Rosario and Duvall, who greatly improved our offense at the deadline, for the entire season. Atlanta had arguably the best bullpen coming into spring, and then added McHugh and Jansen. It's not really debatable who has the best bullpen on paper, now. The Dodgers are now without Jansen. Bauer isn't going to be pitching for them anytime soon, and probably not ever. If he is ever reinstated, the Dodgers will eat his salary (because they can afford it) and move on. They also did not retain Scherzer.
I don't think the Dodgers can say now that they have a better rotation than the Braves. And they were dangerously close to losing to the Braves in 5 games instead of 6, with key players missing in our lineup.
And we're not alone as fans in thinking that the Braves have the better roster. Even some in the media are admitting it.

I think the dodgers have us beat at starting pitching depth. Offense is a push, and we have a slightly better bullpen overall, but much better depth. graterol and treinan are freaks, but they lost Jansen and Kelly.
Also Snit managed circles around Roberts last year, so I give us that advantage too. That said, if we meet again, it will go 7. Hopefully we will have home field again.

I think either team can make an argument for having the best rotation depth, whereas in years past it was clear cut in the Dodgers favor. Both teams have three really good starters, and then a bunch of question marks competing for the final two spots, but I like our question marks' potential more than theirs. They've got veteran guys with no real upside that I can see, at this point in their careers, like Tony Gonsolin, Danny Duffy, Tyler Anderson and David Price. There are recognizable names in there, but none of them are anything great at this point, in my opinion. Of course, I say all of this under the assumption that Bauer will not pitch for them again. I just can't imagine, in that political climate of Los Angeles, that the Dodgers would keep him even if he's reinstated.
The Braves rotation options include young guys like Huascar Ynoa, Kyle Wright, Kyle Muller, Tucker Davidson and Spencer Strider, who all have tons of potential. Out of that group I think we can find two quality starters.
Then, both teams have guys starting the season on the injured list, who will be back at some point. Dustin May and Mike Soroka. Both will be question marks until we see them pitch, obviously, to know how they bounce back.
I also think that injuries will continue to be a problem for Kershaw, but that's not really an analysis, it's just my assumption. If things don't break right at the back of our rotation, the Dodgers might have a slight advantage in stability, with their veteran guys. I'm very excited to see how that goes.

you are assuming. you have no idea. could go 4, 5, 6 or 7. who knows. baseball is wild. crazy shite happens. we shoulda finished them in 5 WITHOUT two beast hitters and it is arguable we sweep them had luke not shite bed in game 3. our depth now is unreal. defending world champs.

The Dodgers(starting) staff is also a good bit older than the Braves.
And disagree on the pen. The Braves pen is much better than the Dodgers especially now that we have Jansen. We have 3 guys that are closers in Jansen,Smith, and Minter. And both Nutsack and Luke can close in a pinch. They have the best pen in baseball
Agreed on the offenses but they did lose Seager. And like I said last night if Bellenger hits below the mendoza line again w/200K's then the Braves have that edge. You could also give the Braves the edge due to the youth on offense. I think every lineup regular for the Dodgers save Bellenger(26) and Mookie(29) is 30+. The only regulars in the Braves lineup over 30 are Duvall, TDA(both 33) and Ozuna(31). And Duvall doesn't have a lot of miles on him so he's a young 33.

He did in 2020, also. Just didn't win the series. Snit has Proven himself a very good PS manager.
Roberts IS NOT a good manager. At all.

Do you not remember the Braves were 7 outs away from going to the WS the year before again against the Dodgers. I like our chances and feel like we have only improved the team this offseason. Our bullpen should be nasty and if we get Soroka back our starters will be nasty also. I like our chances
