If Wright only starts one game of the series, he has to eat innings today. This series is going to be a bit like college baseball. Some pitcher you really haven’t thought about will have to give you good innings. Webb could be our guy.
We also should expect a home run derby 14-12 type game. I just hope our sluggers are better.
I don’t put much credence in baseball momentum. But I do believe in hot teams. There’s no team hotter right now than the Atlanta Braves. It’s all clicking.

Sid was like watching slow motion. He had a bad knee and could hardly move.

dude in the comments nails this

quote:

Skip Caray, Ernie Johnson, and Pete Van Wieren were the soundtrack of my childhood summers. I am a Braves fan from long ago. It's not just the final play, but the entire inning is the absolute best work of Skip's (should be in the hall of fame) career. The way he built the tension of the inning and the payoff of the final play - it's hard not to tear up listening to this.

Today's game is important, so no frick-arounds with the game thread. Only start it if you're feeling confident. I'd go again, but I don't trust my luck on 2-day's rest.

volfan30 needs to do it. You and him have the best records.

ETA: Although Broski is 4-0 in postseason.

The media claims they have momentum? Let's crush their momentum with a 3-0 lead tonight

Not getting any days off completely changes the series. Braves need Wright to go at least 5 innings today. If Wright struggles early do you keep him in and hope he can eat some innings or do you plan on having 3 bullpen games in a row?

It is complete BS by MLB. They could have allowed 2 more days for the postseason. it would have still ended in October. Absolutely no reason for it.
