It's spring training.

But saying that, that's alarming.

No doubt, but the sample size is growing. We need to improve at SS.

Don’t bring this negativity in here!! He makes average plays and AA knows what he’s doing!!!

We didn’t need a 2025 ST sample size to know that Arcia is, at best, a UI on a decent team. There is nothing on any level that suggests he should be starting at any position on a team that has World Series aspirations.

Someone said it best on Twitter. Even though he's not terrible defensively, doesn't make a lot of money, and will bat 9th (hopefully), it says a lot that a guy that hit as terrible as he did last year and showing no signs of improvement this spring training, is pretty much guaranteed a starting job on a team with World Series aspirations.

.289 OPS

Holy hell

Essentially, in 100 at bats he would have 6 singles, 4 doubles, and about 5 walks.

Can’t wait to see it over 500 ABs

LF was a much more pressing need than SS. Sorry, that's just the truth.

Arcia should have been traded the moment the 2023 NLDS ended

At that point, he'd had his one brief sniff of greatness. Of course, it's pretty crazy what you can buy on Sniffr now.

You don't even have to look at the stats to see we should cut him

According to sources, it’s reasonable to expect Strider to join the rotation sometime in late April, while Acuña’s return should come in early- to mid-May.
