So we have to make a move for a 1B catcher right?
We have to have some insurance for Murphy beyond just signing a Tyler Flowers type that you can stomach catching a game every few days. We need someone who has shown that they can catch multiple games in a row in case Murphy goes in the tank again.

Is there such a thing as a good catcher for less than $6 million/year?

Yeah... William Contreras and Shea Langeliers both made around $700K this past season.

Sal Fasano to the Angels too... Wash learned from AA well

My best guess as of now is it'll be Murphy and Tromp to start the season and they're going to let Murphy catch 5 games per week to see if consistent playing time gets him going. If Murphy gets hurt or sucks again, they'll give Baldwin a longer look, but they probably want Baldwin catching every day in Gwinnett to work on game calling.
Unfortunately, the more likely scenario is AA doubles down on the Murphy gamble and trades Baldwin this offseason.

They're gonna give Murphy every chance to right the ship. Rightly or wrongly

He needs to make a huge jump behind the plate to be MLB ready.

Assuming the Braves don’t bring Duvall back (which is a safe assumption), every player that homered in the 2021 World Series is now gone.
Soler, Freddie, Dansby, Duvall and TDA

Sounds like the Braves initially filed a compliant against DSG about the new TV deal moving forward but later withdrew.
My guess is we took a haircut in the payout for sure, but the question is how much. Does it affect payroll now?

Worth nothing that part of the new TV package will be IN MARKET streaming available via Amazon Prime. No more blackouts.

Well, that would be fricking beautiful.

What he and Fried did in the playoffs proved they need to get paid!

Dude Sale was a revelation and we wouldn't have even sniffed the playoffs w/o him.
Just stop.
Just stop.

So the goal is to “sniff” the playoffs? Ok. Maybe, just maybe, we should ensure our pitchers are ready to pitch when the games matter. But I do so enjoy those big wins against the Marlins in May and June.

A good example of being both right and wrong at the same time.
