I get that, but falling behind early is the nightmare start. The longer they trail into the game, the tighter the at bats will get, and this is already not a very good lineup to begin with.

What’s the solution for working the pitch count when he throws two strikes right off the rip?

There's just no way.
He has thrown 4 pitches in the last month+. I can't imagine him going past 50.
