At least it was only a 1 year deal. Extend Dubon after the season and let him take SS until Southisene is ready.

Dom just keeps producing. He has a competitive at bat nearly every time.

Best Pen in baseball and 2 dominant lefties in Dylan Dodd and Dylan Lee.

It’s kind of wild. He doesn’t look like he even belongs at the plate. Like if you dropped one of us at random into a major league at bat.

I'm weary of giving Dubon a huge extension. I think it's more likely that this is his Eddie Rosario 2021 season than this being the norm going forward with him.

All depends on what you can sign him for. His defense is real.

June 6 and Braves have 44 wins.
Braves didn't reach 44 wins LY till July 21.

His versatility is a big plus, but there’s a big reason Houston punted on him for Nick Allen.

His career hitting numbers aren’t great. If we can get him for a relatively cheap price, I’m all in, but I hope we don’t give him a multi-year deal based on numbers he puts up in a contract year

I like Dubon playing 5 times a week, but a part of his value is in being able to play so many positions well. I almost hate to see him just play one position.

Having Dubon on the team lessons the impact of most injuries. Except for catcher.

Agree on not over paying for him, but I’m more hopeful that he is thriving in a better situation.

I’m also curious how not only the Braves, but other organizations handle potential 2-3 year deals with Dubon type players as this season goes on and into the off season. I’m growing more pessimistic each day about any baseball happening in 2027. The uncertainty about how payrolls can be structured going forward makes these decisions difficult.
