Hubs, did you know who Rutherford was 3 hours ago?

This was written about Jose Ramirez by our own Kiley McDaniel last January.
quote:
23. Jose Ramirez, RHP Video: Ramirez is one of the most exciting players on this list; in the linked video, he hit 100 mph with a 70 changeup and an inconsistent slider that flashes average to slightly above. His problem has been like Heathcott; he’s can’t stay on the field, but Ramirez was big league ready at least a year ago. None of Ramirez’s injuries have been to his arm, but to his oblique, caused by a lack of body fat and his quick-twitch movements on the mound. The big league staff has been fighting to take him north with the team the last two seasons, so if the training staff can keep him healthy, this is relief phenom-level stuff.

Six years/ 32.5m per year for Greinke.
Now who gives up everything for Miller?

Samardzija signed with Giants for 5/90. 18 per. It seems like the dominos may finally be starting to fall.

They wanted Severino or Judge from the Yankees... Miller isn't going anywhere

Dbacks still really really wants Miller according to Buster Olney. Braves still want Pollock.

That won't happen.... DBacks will not trade Pollack....

Given the free market rate of pitching right now, I don't think the Braves are out of line asking for Pollock.

Considering the premium on hitting right now there is no way the DBacks make the deal. The Braves may not be out of line asking but no way a team pulls the trigger on a young proven hitter.

AJ is 3 years Shelby's senior. AJ is 28, not exactly a spring chicken. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AJ.
If both were on the open market today, I think they would get very similar deals.

They probably would, but their is still a premium on hitting right now because of offense being down.

I'm not sure if it's been discussed, but I just looked at the 2016 schedule, specifically the games in April. Holy shite.

At least we know they won't give us a small cock tease like they did this year.

I read on a cubs site that peter gammons said the cubs thought they had a foundation of a deal in place for miller, but the braves are deciding to keep miller.
Which makes plenty of sense, allow him to continue to break out, and move him at the deadline when teams are really desperate.
Im assuming it was the soler/miller/minor pieces rumor that was going around.

Every game looks tough when you're a bad team but that's just cruel

The Braves aren't crazy asking for Pollock. Don't trade Miller unless you get exactly what you want. Pollock is a damn stud. Would love to see him leading off and playing CF for us. If I were the Dbacks though, I wouldn't give him up for that. I don't think they really want to move Pollock, but just floated his name to see if they would get blown away with an offer.
Looks like the Cubs have moved on. They are supposedly in talks with the Rays to send Baez there for arms.

OF Adonis Garcia-Navegantes de Magallanes
Season To Date
22 G, .381/.429/.571, 32-84, 5 BB, 16 RBI, 6 K, 2 SB, 15 R, 3 HR
Weekly Recap:
Adonis is not being slowed down in Venezuela right now. After seeing his 10 game hit streak broken in the second half of a double header he got hits in his final 3 games of the week. He leads the system in home runs this winter, and leads it in all of the triple slash categories. He went 6-17 with a home run and walk this week, which actually lowered his batting average, OBP, and OPS. He also added a double in the first game of the week and scored 4 runs.
