Nice move. He was awesome after he figured out the slider issue.

Is Mauricio Dubon good? Braves just traded for him

He’s won two gold gloves. If he’s a utility man, that’s amazing.

Good depth piece.

If he plays a full season, he'll have an OPS below .700, so hopefully AA views him as a UI and not a possible reclamation project that he can fit in to start somewhere.

He’s not the worst hitter in baseball? Say no more.

Possible backup plan in case Boras decides to play hardball with HS Kim this winter, too, but it sounds like he's a UI in an ideal world

Don't want Kim back. But don't want Dubon as everyday SS either.

What's the deal with that guy? I remember thinking he'd had a really good stretch with the Braves in 2025, but looking at his hitting stats it looks like he merely elevated his performance from awful to mediocre. Sub-0.700 OPS, three home runs, etc.- that's good enough to make him feel comfortable declining a $15,000,000 player option? WTF, man... I guess he's a good fielder but come on.

I hope to god Dubon isn't a plan B at SS.

We now have consecutive years of knowing that a gold glove caliber SS is still a net negative if he gives you nothing at the plate.

It's one thing if we have Dubon thrust into a starting role because of an injury, but we can't go into this season with him as the first choice SS because we struck out on Kim and/or Bichette. We need to get a bat there this offseason.

I went back a few pages and didn't see it mentioned by anyone, but is Ronald Acuña still training in Venezuela? Things down there could get ugly soon and was wondering if anyone knew if he is still in Country?

Wonder if a CJ Abrams trade is on the table?

Supposedly he’s playing tonight in their winter league.

Don't want. Worst fielding SS in baseball.

I'll take the bat and live with the defense. The offense desperately needs an infusion of talent as it has gotten stale and fallen off over the last few years.

Sounds like Buxton is willing to waive his no trade to come to the Braves. I'd love to get Buxton and one of Joe Ryan and Pablo Lopez from Minnesota and would be willing to trade any young players not named Schwellenbach and Baldwin to make it happen.

Dale Murphy fell short of the 9 votes required for Cooperstown thru the Contemporary Era committee.

I thought this was going to be his year.

Schwarber back to the Phillies. 5/$150M.

AA really needs to add a big bat to juice up this lineup.

Must be nice to have a owner/GM unit that isn't afraid of re-signing good players in their early 30's because they understand that their window is now.

ETA: And the Dodgers just signed Edwin Diaz
