35 is too high
You're saying Watt is in the same realm as an all-time player as Randy Moss? Hell, better?
8 spots behind a Barry Sanders?

The first “modern” wide receiver. He held a ton of NFL receiving records. He still holds some of them. He was a unanimous selection to the NFL 100th anniversary team.

There are only 2 offensive lineman in the top 35.

Donald is in year 8 of his stretch of being the most dominant player in the NFL
Posted on 9/7/21 at 5:06 pm to tduecen
Agreed… the guy is the best in the biz.

Lmao you had to be born late 90s or more recent. Try looking up Jerry Rice

Thought it was two, but I knew Drew hadn’t won any.

Lol Donald has not be the most dominant player in the nfl for the last 8 years, come on now. 4, maybe 5? On the front 7 of a defense? Yeah I can accept that. But the whole league? For 8 years? Lol that’s stupid talk.

1 QB Tom Brady
I love Brady but I still think Joe Cool should be no. 1 on this list hands down, was artistry in motion when he played
quote:
5 LDE Reggie White
4 LB Lawrence Taylor
Accurate listing though fun fact: Reggie White had as many all-pro and Pro Bowl seasons as LT did seasons in his whole career. LT gets the historical extra credit for changing the game more than any player ever but Reggie was the most unstoppable pass rusher the league ever saw not named Deacon Jones/Richard "Tombstone" Jackson and dominated longer, something needs to be said for that
quote:
12 LT Anthony Muñoz
Offensive line guys finally get some love. TBH there's so many great linemen out there IDK how one outranks others: I think of Forrest Gregg, Art Shell, Jim Otto, Gene Upshaw, John Hannah, Jim Parker, Larry Allen, etc but Munoz is DEF deserving.
quote:
17 MLB/ilb Ray Lewis
quote:
39 S Ed Reed
Reed needs to rank hire than Sugar Ray, Belichick and Brady actually GAMEPLANNED FOR REED because he was such a spectacular playmaker who could cause 14-point swings on the field at any time and bait QBs as well as any safety ever this side of Ronnie Lott
quote:
24 DT Aaron Donald
I expect AD to elevate to top 15 after next year if not next two years
quote:
19 S/cb Ronnie Lott
Ronnie Lott needs to be top 10 IDK why he isn't, he's probably among the all-time greatest defensive players ever regardless of position and, I believe, the all-time greatest not named Lawrence Taylor: the dude could hit as hard as anybody ever, was elite in coverage both as safety and corner, could cause 14-point swings as well as anybody in history with his interceptions and fumble recoveries as well as causing turnovers, was the surest tackler ever, and CUT THE TIP OF HIS FINGER OFF TO KEEP PLAYING dude always gets shortchanged in my view
quote:
28 CB/kr/pr Deion Sanders
The 49ers' criminally underrated corner of the 60s Jimmy Johnson needs to rank alongside Deion here, the dude, along with Herb Adderley, was Deion before Deion: NO ONE threw the ball to their sides of the field EVER. Give Jimmy some love!!
ETA: if Joe Cool can't be no. 1 then Jim Brown 1, Joe 2, then everybody else. Jim Brown's among the dominant athletes to ever exist on THIS PLANET.

Manning won more MVPs and more All-Pros in a shorter time period. Manning is the superior player, there’s no counter argument.
Manning does need to receive his just due: Brady was surrounded by elite Belichick defenses most of his career to ensure he didn't have to carry most of the burden (particularly early in his career) and never really became an elite NFL QB until Moss came to town. After that, he reached Manning level but Manning basically made his supporting cast most of his career and didn't play with defenses comparable to New England's. Manning basically had to make plays for the Colts or else no one else would: Manning misses all of 2011, 2 wins and the no. 1 overall pick; Brady misses 2008, 11-5, misses first 4 games of 2016, 3-1 with Jimmy G and Brissett. Without Manning, the team sucks; without Brady, the Pats are 80% as good. Manning's a kingmaker, people need to accept it and I LOVE Brady.

No Derrick Thomas??????
List is crap.
But the “Lawrence Taylor Revolutionized the NFL” narrative is alive and well.
LT is 5 and no other edge rusher from the 80s and 90s is even worthy of mention.

LT gets historical extra credit for TRULY changing the sport of American football when he dominated and that’s not an exaggeration. Also helped that he played for a big-market historical franchise in the New York Giants, he goes to a team like Tampa, then-St. Louis Cardinals, New Orleans, etc he’s probably perceived in the same light as Lee Roy Selmon, early era Hugh Green, Richard “Tombstone” Jackson, etc as a criminally underrated player relative to his ability, impact, and production.

well when he went there the Giants sucked. He was DPOY as a rookie in '81 i even think.
league MVP in 1986.

you better leave the Saints off the list of that other garbage list of teams especially when the Saints had Pro Bowlers in his hay day like Sam Mills, Pat Swilling, and Vaughan Johnson.

Yeah I know but they’re still the New York Giants regardless

We’re talking about the early 80s, bro

He was a pro bowler for 9 years in a row 1981-1990 and if you think he couldn't have benefited the better than Rickeydid
with that stout group of LB's and underrated down linemen like Frank Warren and Jim Wilks on the inside I'll just have to disagree.
